Diego Milito and Inter, a history of goals, triumphs and tears that could have been carried out in very different times and with other outcomes. Interviewed in Argentina by Olé, il Principe, who became champion in his homeland with Racing, reveals a background story on the transfer market that has never been told before today: “I decided with my heart and it went fine for me. And if it would have gone badly I wouldn’t have regretted it. I always make decisions with my heart. I once had the opportunity to go to Inter and I felt that it was not the time. I was saying no to Inter, eh… But I went to Zaragoza (2005 ed) realizing the dream to play with my brother. I also thought that I would play a lot more in Spain. And it was so. Then Chelsea popped up and I said no to them. So I went back to Genoa. It was a fantastic year, I closed a circle there. Then I ended up at Inter for real, but in other circumstances. From the first day I quit Racing, I always knew that I would return. I thought I would be away three years instead eleven has passed.”

best decission ever, maybe if he join us in 2005 he will not become our treble hero. Maybe he will turn to fringe player like Julio Cruz.
Good decision because if you joined Inter at 2005 we would not win CL at 2010. 🙂
I always believed,we always scored goals when you played. I am very proud we have 1 of best treble hero like you, your goals meant so much for us.. grazie il principe..!!
and we’re really blessed to ever had you at inter…:)
What I would give to see another player like him at inter. Forza il principe
