if hes going to do it then he should have Stevan Jovetic in Fredy Guarin’s spot, Just have him play a little deeper to link the attack, right in front of a 2 man Midfield of Felipe Melo and Geoffrey Kondogbia. Stevan Jovetic is way too good to not be starting every match, and we seen him come off the bench for Man City, the role of super sub doesnt fit him at all, But i think Fredy Guarin would make an excellent super sub with his one man attack runs from deep midfield spots. I do not like the idea of Gary Medel in a 2 man Defense, we saw how bad that looked in the start of the derby. When Andrea Ranocchia came on he actually looked really good and it seemed to calm down Jeison Murillo. Gary Medel could be used in defense but only on the Right Side in a 4-3-3 that doesnt need width provided from the full backs, or a 3 man defense, Thats it. I actually think a defensive back 4 of
Gary Medel , Jeison Murillo , Andrea Ranocchia , Davide Santon. Could be pretty good until Miranda and Juan are back to full fitness.

That will probably be how they close the game if we’re still chasing the game. Everybody has to remember jovetic is injury prone. He needs the ocassional start off to keep him fresh. And i think he wans to give ljajic a chance to show his worth. Mayb forcin mancio to start games out like you’re formation.
4-3-3 is not creative since Mancini plays Kondo-Melo-Guaro in midfield. If Mancini is not stupid, he should try 4-2-3-1, playing Kondo-Medel in central midfield, Perisic-Ljajic-Jovetic in attacking midfield/wings and Icardi up front. Come on be creative! It’s Chievo. Don’t be so afraid like you used to be in City, Mancio. Oh by the way, when are you officially announce to appoint Icardi as a captain?
Jojo played more or less as a trequartista against Milan, making himself available from deep positions and organizing our attacks. He did a great job and he should play against Chievo who will defend hard, so we’ll need ideas in attack.

As a Mancio fan (following him from his first spell at Inter and then City), I’ve rarely seen him leaving his top scorer on the bench.

Nah, if he want to keep Jovetic as his top scorer he won’t put him on the wing.. Jovetic is a top scorer at the moment but it is Icardi the one that was expected to be top scorer, well if both and other players scores as much goals as possible it’s better for us though.. No matter who scored the most..

noone. we will play a 4-3-3 with 2 central midfielders and 1 defensive midfielder.
am not really convinced with 4-3-3 with DM (especially against smaller teams).. I would prefer 4-2-3-1 it gives us more attacking option incase they parked the bus and played on counter attacks
i guess we are missing attacking midfielders for that. jovetic could play there but i think we shouldnt play him in every match since he is an injury prone.
maybe he will be subbed on as cam later on if we don’t score. anyway, good idea to rest him for the midweek game and let ljajic get a go
433 and 4231 can be almost identical with minor rotation’s as possession changes ie mourinhos inter. Most teams are using 6 dedicated defensive player’s nowadays but Mancini only uses one. If Bayern can do it….
Same concern here. our 433 with current mid trio and ljajic and perisic at wing is good on paper, but given this mid we have, we need at least one of ljajic or perisic dropped back to pick up ball and organize the attack, which is jovetic did in past games. Otherwise it will just become boring crossing practice…
