After Inter’s win over Hellas Verona they have made their fifth consecutive win in Serie A something they haven’t been able to do since the season 1966, but the result doesn’t give Roberto Mancini smiling, who was interviewed to Mediaset Premium after the final whistle at San Siro.
“The Standings hasn’t changed since Sunday, can you make another question (edit note: he says laughing).
I wasn’t pleased with the first 20minutes maybe we were a bit tired after last Sunday’s game but then we raised to the occasion. I’m glad for the squad and for Felipe Melo, these are the goals that he’s doing, Today he made a beautiful one.”
Mancini are you satisfied over the play as well?
“I’m satisfied over the 15points, but these first matches are difficult and which shows by the other squads results which were more favorites than us to win the Scudetto. Our performance is getting better slowly, but it’s never easy to succeed to dominate the play in Italy”.
He continues with the single performances..
“Ljajic can improve, It went better for Perisic this match and he’s more physical. Ljajic hadn’t much space tonight and that wasn’t easy. I’m also very glad for Biabiany for returning to the pitch, he’s a young kid he’s very good and his ability in that role helps us. Thohir? I think that he’s glad enough”.
He comments on Melo’s tackle that forced Pazzini to substitute…
“You can see that it wasn’t on purpose, I feel sorry for Pazzini and I hope it’s nothing serious. If we’re feeling like favorites? NO! until next match maybe.. But it’s a long season and teams as Juve,Roma and Napoli will return to the top of the table”.

these wins early in the season are great but we need to talk scudetto later in the year. For now our team is still lacking chemistry and communication amongst eachother. It will grow with time and that is why almost after every game so far mancini always talks about taking things one game at a time. We are building a solid foundation to compete with everyone and anyone. So far so good even if luck is on our side, Lord knows a lot of luck and magic was in the 2010 champions league campaign, It is nice to see we have some of the luck back at least and we have had our best start in 50 years.<—- everyone just take that in. 50 YEARS!!!!!Now we must focus on fiorentina who could easily take first away from us. We need focus and composure for them because they are on a hot streak as well

If we want to keep winning we definitly need to play much better,especially in atack because we played really bad today…
Defense is crucial for winning in Italy. Goals will come, even if we don’t have nice build up play, every team makes a few mistakes at the back, and Icardi is like a cobra waiting in the box.
9 out of 10 times in past 10 years Scudetto winner was the team with least goals conceded, not the most effective one.
yes that’s true, it’s begining of the season and it takes time for players to know each other but foryunately we got all 15 points, but with whole new set of players in defence we showed great character in helping handanovic… thing that never happened last season while we were scoring a lot… may we forget our problems bro?

Mancio is trying to keep our feet on the ground with his comments.. however, i think it is time to say that yes we want the scudetto and we are aiming for the scudetto and we will get the scudetto.. it gives the players a message that no it’s not okay to fall short in any of our upcoming games even though we have a buffer in points.. and also it gives them the confidence that we are equally strong if not better than Jube and Roma..

personally i agree with mancio, we will find out after 10 match… now is too early to talk about scudetto.. top 3 is our priority, but if after 10 match we still manage to keep our distance from our competitor, we can start thinking about scudetto.. hopefully we can maintain and improve our game, perisic was not playing like himself yet. if he starting to found his form and settle with his new environtment, we’ll get our creativity in the finall third.. ^^
Failure is always an option… So, maybe it is better to aim for Scudetto and still finish in top 3 if they fail, than to aim at third place, because if we don’t make it, another year without CL would be catastrophe.

I don’t think that thisn team lacks experience, it’s really well built that’s why we get results without playing anything special. If they glue in the last third, it will become even stronger
We have 15 points, which is great but honestly I am really not convinced by the way we play. It is true that the new players don’t know each other but we create very few chances.
The good news are, that Juve, Roma and Napoli are not in good shape, they are losing points with smaller teams ( like we did last 3 years ).
This is what I’m talking about. When you play good, sooner or later the results will come. But when you’re not convincing, you can’t rely anytime on luck. We still have huge work in front of us, to be true competitor for Scudetto. For now is good that we’re continues winning and can reach Champions League spot.
Maybe the team should focus around Mauro, who was piss-up the last game as he is not receiving balls, hahaha Jojo was selfish in a clear occasion.
