Dejan Stankovic celebrates Inter’s excellent start to the season in an interview for Serbia’s Beta news agency. The former Inter player and now club manager while admitting the game of Inter is not brilliant also highlights another aspect shown by Roberto Mancini’s team.

“For now we do not play brilliant football but we are only in September, there is time. For now I like the way Inter appear on the field, a team with eleven combative warriors. I think we have made an almost historic start to the season.”

One of these victories came against Milan and Stankovic’s friend Sinisa Mihajlovic:

He is training as a coach, his team could also play good football but lack concentration. I can’t say if they were better in the Derby but they were solid. For Sinisa I’m happy, I told him that sooner or later he would have a great opportunity.”

Deki also talked about his new role with Inter:

“I’m feeling great, although I don’t feel like an official. Every day I’m in contact with the players, I live and breathe with them, I follow training and matches. It’s nice although it’s hard to go in the stands or be on the bench to follow the team where I played for ten years especially when there is a Derby.”
