Speaking to Turkish NTV Spor, Cenk Ergun, sports director of Galatasaray, commented on the departure of Felipe Melo, who transfered from Cimbom to Inter during the last day of the transfer market. A transfer which, in the words of the director, the Turkish club was prepared for: “Felipe Melo always had in mind the idea of going to Inter when he got an offer. And Inter always kept the track hot. Melo did indeed sign an agreement to extend with us, but within the agreement we included the conditions for a possible exit. When, on the last day of the transfer market, we got the offer, we let him leave. The technical staff was ready to see the player move anyway. For as long as he was with us, he left his mark in the turkish football. There will not be a Felipe Melo at Galatasaray anymore, but we will have one or more players who will perform with his style.”
