Davide Santon was interviewed by Inter Channel in the show InterNos that will air later tonight. Here is a little bit that has been released beforehand. Santon talks about his Inter debut and joining Inter at a young age.
“Growing up here was great, but also difficult. I left home when I was 14 years old, leaving the family is never easy. When I arrived there were a lot of experienced players, I was lucky to be part of a fantastic Inter when I was just 17. In January when the chance to return to Inter presented itself I was very pleased. Today there are a lot of young players here, we need to grow together.”
The Inter defender replied to questions about his current teammates:
“Dimarco is a humble lad who works hard. I have been through it, the first months are not easy when you join the first team, and you are very young. You train and then maybe you end up in the stands. He has all it takes to become a good player. The teammate which I am closest to is Biabiany, we grew up together. We are a very united group, I get along with everybody.”
About the season and what the Inter shirt means to him;
“Our season will be very long. We started off well, now we might not be spectacular but we are very solid and we hope to continue like this. I am confident; I think Inter can have a great season. The Inter shirt is everything for me, I have always respected it a lot and I always will. I have learned to love and honor it due to the many champions that have worn it.”
