The impact of Adem Ljajic on the game yesterday was big and very positive. Ljajic subbed in for Mauro Icardi in the 77th minute, and he created 3 chances to score in the short time he had on the pitch. Basically the same amount of chances the team was able to create in the previous 77 minutes of the game without him. A positive test for the Serbian international who is now a candidate for a spot in the starting line-up vs Bologna.

tbh, I dont give any fck for what they did outside the field as long they keep make good contributionin the field. Guarin can be a priest or anything but if he dont do any good in the field he can gtfo or be Inter Forever staff
I’m really disappointed in mancini, I don’t think he can teach alot and tactically I think hes not good enough, he’s like Mourinho they need the best players, I like sari of napoli or montella or a Guardiola as they teach the game mihajlovic is another mancini if he gets really good players he will perform. I will be the one to say what I believe most of us feel as well. As good as Icardi is he is incredibly static and serves no purpose other than bagging in goals from close range when it’s all set up to him. We should not limit our attack by relying on getting the ball under Icardi’s nose but rather do this: play 4-3-3 and use our best wingers alongside with Jovetic playing as a FALSE NINE. The same role Messi occupied in Barcelona before Suarez joined. Joveta is no Messi but he prefers attacking through the middle and he would operate in that role splendidly. If we can get 30-40 millions for Icardi I say go for it and bag another class winger like Bellarabi or Feghouli. Replacing Icardi with Ljajic showed how dangerous we can be when we atack with flair and creativity rather than looking to pick out a trump waiting for the ball.
The sad truth is Mancini will continue benching him.
as good jojo is, i dont think he is clinical enough compared to icardi, icardi has movement just not creative enough, pairing ljajic and icardi however could be different. maybe playing 4-3-2-1 could work with playing brozovic, kondogbia, melo/medel and then ljajic and jojo as playmakers with icardi upfront this could work. but i prefer 4-2-3-1 and jojo/icardi would be the main striker question would be who would bag the goals consistently
Actualy Icardi wasn’t that type of player last season!He was going behind also!I think Mancio is to be blamed for Icardi’s form and i don’t think it’s his form but what he has been asked to do!Because we are playing like not having a striker!That’s the same thing that happened to Dzeko at City if you remember and that’s the reason why Dzeko was benched that and also Aguero!But now we have JOJO(as Aguero) and Icardi(as Dzeko) Aguero was like a 10 that played as a striker and Dzeko has a clinical finish!And i think that’s what mancini is trying to do here!And i find it amazing if it works out!If you have seen some City’s games under Mancio you’ll get it!It was an amazing combination!Dzeko though had more help from Silva and Nasri but i think that it will be killin if it works out!
i see your point but id rather stick with Icardi and for the following reasons:
1. Right now, Icardi dire spell is not because hes lacking, its coz Jovetic and Persisic are around occupying his space now, so all he does is stay in the box and wait. Palacio runs were so helpful for him in the past to open up space but now that dont happen no more
2. The lack of creativity in midfield has damaged him, usually Icardi makes tremendous runs off the ball that were spotted by either Kovacic or Hernanes. this isnt the case anymore, as we dont have anyone in the current midfielder that feed him like that.. infact the whole team except maybe Adem Lajcic.
3. i like ur suggestion but the problem is that all these players are not natural finishers so it will take one or two chances extra to finish a play, whereas Icardi is quite clinical. maybe sell for 40m and buy more mobile finisher..but bottom line is that whats happin right now to him its not his fault
Totally agree. Pushing wingers further up would possibly solve this problem since they would stretch up opposition defense, but it would create various problems for our defense…
