Three points thanks to the goal by Geoffrey Kondogbia. Inter wins in Turin and holds on to the lead in the standings. A satisfied Roberto Mancini was asked about the lack of goals from Icardi, who was replaced today in the 67th minute to make way for Perisic: “I don’t see why there is a need to always find some controversy. I didn’t send any signal, Mauro was tired and I needed someone fresher. Today he did what he had to do. From him a lot is expected because he is a great striker, in the end he will score more than everyone else: it is a matter of time.”
On the pitch from the first minute was Palacio: “Rodrigo was in very good shape, in fact, as long as he could hold on to his breath and his legs he was very important. The injury time? Six minutes of injury time wasn’t given even at Old Trafford against Manchester United (laughs), especially when United lost.”
Still on the performance of his team: “Today, to beat Torino we needed to do this. We missed other chances to make it 2-0, but against Torino, on this pitch, it is very difficult. In the first half we did very well, in the second half we were too far back but then we had to double up.”
Another denial on the rumors regarding Pirlo: “We have never talked to him and he has never been offered to us. The 3-5-2? We thought it would be a good thing to attack well. Clearly, if we had used it against Roma it would have ended not 1-0 for us, but 3-0 for them.”

well basically the problem is that our squad was build by Mancio, who likes to defend a lot, maybe other type of managers would build a team around Icardi who was top scorer last season-
In the other hand now that the Benzema topic is on fire, they may want to change a direction and Icardi has the charisma and the branding to be in that team, so it could be good money for us!
Last sentence is GOLD! Glad to know Mancini knows what he is doing~
According to news, Madrid is ready to offer 45 million for Icardi.

Too low for a (top 10) striker in the world, and too low for an Inter captain.
45 mil for Icardi is not bad at all, and for a team in our position where we need the funds, i say we take it and buy more players with it or a striker that fits Mancini’s formation
If you ask me, players that fits Mancini’s formation are mainly defensive minded. If depends on him, he could start playing without forwards, probably that’s the reason he doesn’t like to use last season 22 years old Serie A goalscorer.
swap isco and + some money!
I am really sick and tired of selling excellent players simply because the coaches “cannot use them in their formation”. What does this mean exactly ?? Imagine Barcelona getting a new coach and the coach decides that Messi doesn’t fit his tactical formation… It’s all bulls**t!
If a player is talented, motivated and understand what is asked of him, I don’t see any reason not to be good at it. It’s not like Icardi is asked to play central defender. He just has a dry spell, that is all, and the media simply want to make a big deal out of it, because they don’t have anything smarter to write about. I totally agree with Mancini on that point.
I’m not against Icardi at al, but we were more dangerous on the goal against Roma when Icardi was benhed and had Jovetic as the striker, mainly because he creates chances for himself unlike Icardi who is a classic striker main job is to receive and score but for 45 million with our financial situation, the management can’t refuse the offer
🙂 My frustration wasn’t directed at you, I am just angry when clubs state that reason for selling a player.
Icardi is definitely just a shadow of his former self, and all of us want to see him perform better and score goals, but the speculation the newspapers are creating is getting really annoying.
Hardly a top 10 striker. One good season doesn’t make him one of the best. He has potential though..
So, it means that Inter becomes Madrid’s feeder club?
Lol he wanted to attack with 3-5-2
