Inter coach Roberto Mancini spoke to Rai Sport after tonights 1-0 victory over Genoa. Was it an exciting performance? I wouldn’t say so. We played very well in the first half and we could have scored two goals. But Genoa played very well and ran a lot, however at the end we managed to score.

Mancini was then asked about Joao Mirandas outstanding performance. Yes Miranda played very well but so did the whole team Murillo, Melo, Medel and the attackers. Only at the end of the game we found ourselves in a bit of danger.

Mauro Icardi? Icardi hasn’t played twice in 15 games. We have 5 good strikers at the moment, sometimes we have to make changes in the line-up. Palacio did a very good job today but Icardi is still our main striker and in order to get into the Champions League next year we need him to produce 20 goals. Today we had many chances and we dominated the game overall. The results has been good and we have to continue like this.

How’s Felipe Melo feeling? He’s feeling pretty good. How does the team respond to the constant changes in formations and players? They all respond well. They feel a part of the project, the team is OK, the results are there and now we move on.

Any angry faces? I don’t know any player who doesn’t get angry when they’re not playing, but that’s good.
