“We did it all ourselves. I am not pleased. Sometimes you don’t manage to win because you do not play well, but you can’t lose games giving them away and committing stupid mistakes. We need to keep our concentration up until the last minute of the last game of the year. I did not like the warm up either. I am sorry we threw the game away.”

“Would I make the same choice about the starters. Yes, I chose it and I would do so again. Melo’s mistakes? I think the foul that got him a red card was due to him being irritated after the penalty. What did we say to each other? I can’t answer that, those things stay in the locker room. Even though we did not play well today we should not have lost, because Lazio did not do much to win. We did poorly but after the 1-1 we should have been more calm and not lose our heads over stupid things. In the first half we never attacked the spaces with our four offensive players, we were too long and we did not manage to shorten the team. More pressure because the rivals won? No, also because we know it is a long championship.”

“A Topolino (said with a smile). Juventus are much better equipped, they have won the scudetto for years. We are top of the league and we would have signed off to be in this position at this moment.”
