Former Inter midfielder (2004-2006) and current Estudiantes president, Juan Sebastian Veron was interviewed by TuttoSport. Here is what he had to say about the serie a scudetto race and Inter.

About the title contenders:

“The fact that Juventus are back in it can’t keep Inter or any of the others calm. Mancio is an undisputed leader though and the team this year is one that he feels is more his own. Seeing him in nerazzurro again makes me feel younger,” says Veron with a laugh.

What does he think about coach Mancini?

“His work is a guarantee, but there are not guarantees for success. Just look at what has happened recently to a winner like Mourinho.”

Inter captain Mauro Icardi.

“Mauro needs to follow the advice he gets from Mancio who used to be a great striker. If he odes he will go far. Is he more similar to Crespo or Batistuta? I’d say Hernan. Bati was a unique forward, he was so strong he would carry the defenders with him as well…”

Calleri who is rumored to Inter.

“He is a quick and technical striker. He has priven himself in Argentina, but it is a different thing in Italy. He will need time. A little bit like what is happening to my Correa who is at Sampdoria now.”

Leo Messi to Inter.

“One time he told me that he would have liked to play at Inter. Just to be clear, it is something from the past. Moratti was still there. And honestly it seems impossible to me that Leo would leave Barcelona.”
