Biabiany

Undoubtedly one of the pleasant surprises of this first part of the season, with each passing day he proved to be a very valuable piece for Roberto Mancini, who on several occasions has shown nothing less than amazement at the time (shorter than expected) that he needed to return to the pitch, giving him absolute confidence after the problem of cardiac arrhythmia that kept him out of contention for a long time.

Until now, in fact, the appearances this season are ten for Jonathan Ludovic Biabiany, who for 2016 aims to increase his value further and performances with the objective, who knows, even to lift some silverware at the end of the season. And from Doha, where the Inter team has worked during this winter break, the player, born in Paris in 1988, showed his entire charge for the new year in an interview with FcInterNews.

You are among the most joyous notes of this season: after the problems that you had, did you expect to return so fast and positive?
“Yes it’s true, I’ve always said that I would return sooner than we expected. The credit belongs to everyone: me, the doctors and trainers at Inter that I have always followed. I can’t help but be grateful to them, and obviously to coach Mancini, as well, that he waited and gave me so much confidence. Personally I still lack something to get in top condition, but I’m still satisfied. Now I want to try to repay the trust of the coach.”

A few years have passed since your first experience at Inter: how has Mancini changed?
“I met him when I was only a kid and I got to appreciate him as a coach when I was training with the first team. I honestly don’t see that he has changed anything, he is the same winner as always. He always wants the result, win trophies and not give up one centimeter. He taught me many things and continues to do so.”

As a result of your performances you have distanced yourself from transfer market rumors: will you remain at Inter in January for sure?
“I will definitely stay in Milan. I signed a contract with Inter and I want to play my chances with this shirt.”

Is the Scudetto possible or are you only focused on, at least for the moment, the Champions League?
“The primary objective is the Champions League, even to avoid getting too excited at the mental level. But we are Inter and we aim at best, so even the Scudetto.”

Taking a small step back in time, what would have happened if you had gone to Milan?
“I can’t answer that question, only God knows this. But I don’t hide what could have happened: there was a chance to go to Milan after good seasons with the shirt of Parma. For a player like me it was the ambition to make the leap and go to a great team. Milan was there and it was the only way at the time. So I would have gone there, I say this with sincerity.”

The greatest dream for your career.
“For several years now I have played in Serie A, so obviously the dream is to win the Scudetto. But I add that to win it this year already, after only one year since my return to the pitch, it would be a great achievement for any person. Personally, on the other hand, I want to get better and better.”

Do you think about the national team?
“Not really. I think at this time France has already has a team that is ready, compact and solid.”

A promise if you win the Scudetto.
“I would change the color of my hair, but I’ve already used the yellow (laughs, ed.). Therefore I promise to dye my hair of black and blue.”
