Agent of Brozovic: “Inter was a great choice; Every week he makes strides forward”

Miroslav Bicanic spoke to CalcioMercato.com about the situation of his client Marcelo Brozovic. The agent of the Serbian has commented regarding rumors about the future of the former Dinamo Zagreb player, many of which are being spoken about this January.

A year after his move to Inter: was it the right choice?

“Absolutely, Inter was already a great choice. He was looking for a bigger club than Dinamo Zagreb to improve on his potential and Inter sought substance and freshness in the midfield. After a year I can say that it was the best decision for both parties”.

He arrived as a promising youngster, now he a market target. Is it true that there are requests from the Premier League and La Liga?

“Now he is a top player. The European level has improved him and he has more confidence with which he can improve even more. Every week he makes strides forward. This is seen also by other clubs; Spanish and English. The clubs in the Premier League know him well, they think that he will improve massively in the next few years, but they also know that he won’t be cheap. Marcelo is happy at Inter, he plays well, the fans love him, everyone at the club believes in him, Milan is fantastic. Therefore we will only think of a transfer if Inter gives the green light. Prior to that he is only concentrated on the matches with Inter and how to achieve the best possible results this season”.

Mancini has said that Brozovic will become one of the best midfielders in the world, does he deserve a new contract?

“It’s wonderful when a coach says something nice about his players. This demonstrates a great respect and force everyone to work in the same direction. The coach sees it every day, he definitely recognizes his potential and knows what he is talking about. I agree with the prediction of Mancini, Marcelo is on the right path to become one of the best in the world. If the leaders at the club think that he deserves a new contract, then this will give him a new strength and the energy to work hard, do better and think of only Inter. A year ago I said that Inter would be happy with the transfer, that 8 million Euros was little for him and that the club could sell him for much more. So I agree in thinking that he will grow much, he must only work and play. There is another component: the Croatian National team. Hopefully Marcelo will make a big impact in the Euros in France. It will be very important for his future, to confirm his potential at the highest level”.
