Piero Ausilio replied to Rai Sport when asked about the hot topic of the last few days, Fredy Guarin before the Coppa Italia game:
“Is he still an Inter player. Yes. We are not hiding that there is a negotiation, but until there are signed documents you can’t talk about a done deal. We will see what these negotiations will bring. Should Guarin leave he would then be substituted because he would leave a spot open in the squad that would need to be filled. But talks about who could be the one to replace him we will take later on.”
Ausilio about the game:
“We consider the Coppa Italia an important competition, especially this year since we have this and the league to play in and we want to do well. The games on our end (in the Coppa Italia) are tough and we want to give 100%. An important victory to raise morale? We got a draw at Bergamo, a place that is always tough to play in. Past Inter teams that won the league had troubles there. This draw came after a win and an undeserved loss against Sassuolo, now we start over with the spirit of a team that wants to show that it is at the top with an important performance.”
But will Ausilio remain at Inter?
“I think so, yes. For a year and a half I am not on the market. If they send me away, well that is another question.”
Talks then move on to possible transfers targets such as Eder and Roberto Soriano.
“The players in the squad can compete for the top positions. Inter are doing everything to return to the Champions League, we are respecting programs with players who are still on the market and we are active on transfers and we evaluate situations. If there will be a need we will find the best solution. The names are often the right ones, these ones are believable because they are great players. But that does not mean they are the right ones. Easiest that a midfielder arrives? To substitute him (Guarin) we will aim for an important player, we are talking it over with the coach. It could also be a winger, for the rest there are a lot of strikers at Inter. I have not excluded other situations, we are looking all over the world. As for characteristics we will think about for a few days because Guarin is not sold yet. And for Soriano you would have to deal with Massimo Ferrero which is not easy, so I will have to also think about other solutions.”
Lastly about the risk of losing Roberto Mancini to the national team:
“Worried? We would be surprised, but he is good and besides Inter other clubs and national teams think about hiring him. But he is ours and we are keeping him.”

from the 1st question, I won’t like to see Ausilio leaving, he has done a great job so far, and Guaro should be searching for a room in China….
If we stick with 4-2-3-1 a winger would be more useful.I just hope Lavezzi won’t be that winger.
It’s hundred percent sure that Ausilio knows much better than me, but i will repeat myself. If we will going to sell Guarin in China for 18 millions and reinvest in his replacement we don’t need some good player like Soriano, etc. We really need someone who can make the difference and will help us to fight for Champions League spot.
Man, if even a small part of Guaro thought: “I might as well do this for the team, at least they can reinvest this money for someone who can benefit the season” I’d love his dumb bird shooting ass. But somehow I’s thinking all that’s going through his head right now is “I’m RICH, BIYAAAACH”

I have been one of the few Inter supporters who has defended Guarin several times, but this deal, 18 million Euros, we cannot let this slip. He is not worth 15 and we are getting 18,It’s ridiculous! I hope Guarin agrees and we are able to find a great replacement.
If these numbers are true, it will be a marvelous deal. It might even justify playing Guaro against Atalanta. Don’t these Chinese noblemen want a tall Italian defender for 20 million? Bless their generous hearts! :))))
