Ezequiel Lavezzi to Inter? The parties have probably never been so close, even in past sessions of the transfer market. This is confirmed by La Gazzetta dello Sport today: “In the meeting between Alejandro Mazzoni and Alessandro Moggi in Milan, Piero Ausilio proposed an offer that includes a salary cap of 3.5 million Euros and various bonuses. Now they have to deal with Paris Saint Germain for the immediate transfer of the Argentinian international who asks for at least 4 million Euros. Obviously this economic barrier is fragile, since the player can leave for free at the end of the season. And that is why, at this stage, the club of Corso Vittorio Emanuele is formally negotiating for the summer: not to give way to the Parisian by getting involved in a bidding war. But it is clear that if between now and February 1, the club headed by Nasser Al-Khelaifi should lower their asking price, then, the strategy of Inter could change quickly and the player could also arrive right away.” Inter seems to be in the lead, clearly ahead of Barcelona and Chelsea.
According to the pink newspaper, Roberto Mancini would really appreciate the arrival of Pocho, who would be the definitive leap of quality for the Nerazzurri in the championship fight: “The player has always liked the idea of coming to Milan and has never hidden the feeling with Inter. In this way, the steps taken yesterday seem important. The offer from the financial point of view is closer to the expectations of Lavezzi, and with his approval in the pocket it will be easier to deal with the rich Parisian club.”
With the Argentine on the team, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Mancini would decide to go with a 4-2-3-1, as it would make the former Napoli player able to combine quality and quantity. He should be the winger to the right, a kind of clone of Perisic who would act on the other end, then two of Ljajic, Jovetic and Icardi. At the same time, the option Eder becomes less likely. Will Lavezzi finally arrive to Inter?

Right now I’m ok getting him, cuz we have no ather options and we need a winger. Hope he proves that he can still be very good at his ages.
Still I say it’s a dream.

This is really good news. If he is willing to take the pay cut and we are allowed to spend 4m or less for his transfer in january, I am all for it. He is a world class player no matter his age. People need to remember alot of players can remain good at 30 and sometimes even get stronger. I think he has a few good years left and could provide that extra spark we need in attack. He can also unlock icardi better than biabiany who is solid but by all means we cannot start him at winger every game.
That Argentinian connection 😉
Hope he comes now – Biabiany is doing well on the right, and it’s great to see him back in an Inter-shirt but we need to wingers on the right (Ljajic is better in the middle) and one of those needs to be world class – like Lavezzi!
Agreed,i would like younger RW but taking into considaration Lavezzi is free and obviusly lowered his wage demand i’d say if we can we should get him..
He is good player and all,but the main reason i want youger RW is ’cause Lavezzi can play IMO 2 years max on high level ’cause he depends on his speed and pace and lets face it he is getting old so speed and pace are not his allys anymore..
He can have imediate impact on our team right now and that is what we need atm,we can think about other players once we reach CL.
EDIT:
Having a good RW could also make Mancio stick with a certain formation (I hope 4-2-3-1) lol
But Lavezzi doesn’t excel on RW though.
he’s a right winger
