Melo and Brozo are the recipe for disaster. I’d rather Melo and Gnoukouri, keep it really compact in the middle. The thing about Brozo is that, he does a lot of pressing but often not effectively. A lot of the time he pressed so high up the pitch, without real support from his teammates and hence leaving acres of space behind him. This is criminal in a 2 men midfield.
not sure why it’s called “offensive 4-4-2 formation” shouldn’t that be a standard formation, offensive should be a 3-5-2, 4-3-3, well maybe I’m wrong!

Any formations can be offensive or defensive.
an offensive touch on the 442 might be to have the wingers pushed further upfield to get in attacking positions, as opposed to a balanced style where the main purpose is to offer width.

I might be wrong but I as far as I can remember every time we played with 4231 we were strong so sounds good to me. How come only Mancini doesn’t see the need of creative players on the field. So annoying…
