Roberto Mancini got into the Italian Hall of Fame of the Figc (Italian football federation) today, after Corrado Ferlaino and Gianluca Vialli the Inter coach had this to say about the honor:

“I would have liked to make part of it as a player but Gianluca Vialli beat me to it. I am happy to receive this award while coaching a team like Inter. Being a player is much easier and fun, but I hope to coach for a lot longer because it is the best thing to stay in the football world. Fifteen years as a coach are a lot and Italian football has changed. I really hope that Italian football can return to what it was in 85/86/87 when stars from all over the world came here.”

After that Mancini handed over an Inter training jersey as a memento an posed for a picture with his friend Vialli and Gianni Rivera.
