Massimo Moratti interviewed by La Gazzetta dello Sport about the future of Inter and his role.

”Am I ready to return at the helm at Inter? Maybe some nostalgics will be happy, but at the moment I can do nothing but deny it.”

So you are not looking to help Erick Thohir find a partner that can increase liquidity in the club?

”He has clear ideas and I would never take initiative. Wang Jing? He called me to ask forgiveness for not getting his papers in order from the government. I appreciated the gesture but in the meantime Thohir arrived.”

Fact remains that Thohir has found a valid representative through Goldman Sachs.

”Yes, even though it is too early to know how it will end. We have to see if beyond the interest shown there is an intention to go all the way.”

Can you confirm that there is talk about 20%?

”I think so yes.”

Does it not seem strange to you that, as Thohir showed in 2013 that someone would be ready to invest tens of millions euros in a company i financial trouble and then not have the power to make decisions?

”This is something you would have to ask him. I am just waiting to verify whether it is a good deal.”

But if it really meant that you would sell 6% of your shares, what would you do?

”If I thought that it would strenghten Inter, I could say yes.”

Can you confirm that there is an understanding that stipulates that you have the option to sell Thohir your 29,5% at a fixed price?

”Yes. And as for the capital increase it will not be a problem; I see Thohir very calm.”
