In recent months you have played with two wingers in front. For the future do you also see two strikers or even a classic number 10?
“We have a classic number 10, it’s Jovetic. He can play as a striker but his role is between the lines. Eder, Perisic and the others can play on the wing. In this moment we lack a left footed player on the right, but if the players improve, those who until now have scored little, will get better.”
FcIN – What is your view on the reason behind Thereau’s goal, a tactical error or individual?
“It was an error in the defensive line, but Thereau scored a great goal. When a player does this it’s not easy for a defender to sprint behind before him. My compliments to Thereau.”
How many players are you missing in order to do better next year?
“Ten (he laughs, editors note). It’s hard to say, when a team starts to have a base it does not take much, we’d need players with quality and experience who will help the younger ones. We’ll have to see what we can get in the market.”
Brozovic had a negative game in Genova, today a good one, what does it depend on?
“It’s a question of his head for his age. He runs a lot, I think he is the top in A (Serie A) for km traveled. But age does not allow him yet to have continuity. A veto on his sale? I do not think we can sell him.”
