Back in fashion for Inter is the name of Dries Mertens. Speaking to Nieuwsblad, the Belgian winger has opened the doors to a farewell from Napoli: “If I do not renew I’m leaving. In Napoli I feel great and I think the club is overdue a renewal proposal. It’s too early to talk about the future. There are no problems, but it’s obvious that it all depends on Napoli.” As reported by the online edition of Corriere dello Sport, the nerazzurri have had their eyes on the former Utrecht player and they have two counterparts to propose to Napoli: Ranocchia and Juan Jesus. De Laurentiis wants to monetize the hypothetical sale and would prefer to sell the player abroad in order to not heavily reinforce a direct competitor. The nerazzurri, among other things, are also courting another Napolitan forward who, at the ‘fault’ of the star Higuain, has had little chance to show off, Manolo Gabbiadini.
Merten’s contract expires on the 30th June, 2018 and, as said by the Belgian, there’s no rush to renew, even though the desire on his part is there. Napoli believe in the forward and will meet his agent at the end of the season, or more likely after the European Championship in France to talk about the extension.

No deal
Let this trash be. We don’t need divers and cheats.
Well enough with all this shit… sick of financial fair play .. how can new owners splash money in almost every single club and only inter care abt this issue.
Everton are ready to splash 200 millions tx to their new owner and inter every season sell their key players so they finance mediocre flop signings … i rly dont get this …
probably because most of the EPL clubs
a, aren’t in huge debt
b, didnt violate the FFP rules before
c, have significantly higher revenue compared to us
first we need results and a new stadium, than we could talk about a spending spree…
yeah right….just look ac milan…it is in completly same situation as we are…no result, no stadium…and last season they buy bacca 30m, romagnolli 25, bertollaci 20…and sell nobody…and we buy kondogbia but must sell kova before for same amount, then buy perisic but sel shaq…so, again when somebody mentoined FFP only i can say is LOL
so? if they cant reduce their loss down to 30m euros by the end of the 3rd fiscal year they will be punished aswell. just like Anzhi, Dinamo Moscow, Galatasaray, PSG, Malaga or Inter…
AC is staring in the face of bankruptcy because of their transfer policy. Thanks to Inter fuelling their stupidity. Your numbers support AC ignorance. O well. If this means Inter maintains popularity in the city then perfect!
milan is 90m euros in red zone
Yea right..
However it is annoying somehow… juve keep on improving…so do roma …milan will improve this coming season…napoli as well so we need some big players if we want any chance of champions league football.
But uf we sell icardi perisic murillo or miranda and buy mertens , replace icardi with a palacio alike striker will all due respect to palacio and even if we do get mertens that would b a step back to our current squad especially with nagatomo brozovic dambrosio eder melo juan palacio well these players play for inter but u cannot expect champions league football with a similar squad in addition to mancini who needs a complete squad like the one he had at manchester. I am afraid nxt season will b similar to the current one i am afraid….:(
Dude…Summer still long way to go. You already predict we will sell our best players??? Banega and Erkin still good signing and free.
relegated team in EPL earns about 30 40 milion more than italian champion from tv rights + stadium revenue (which 2 teams in italy have their own) means alot diffrence between italian teams and others
If we get a rich owner again – like when we had Moratti who used to splash out just like Abramovic or the dudes at PSG, we could do the same, but now we got Thohir as our owner and he hasn´t any money to inject… If Sunning enters then maybe they would like to inject money into the company – it all depends on the owners and their will!
FFP predict the clubs can spend more than they get in, but no one can stop a rich owner from injecting money into the company if he will (it is mainly done by letting his own private company cover parts of the clubs debts – like Fininvest at AC).
He can play all positions, left wing is best though. I love him he would be great for us

martens over gabbiadini
I would like to see him in Inter shirt, I want him since WC 2014, imagine that: Perisic – Icardi – Mertens, but, let’s be honest, De Laurentis won’t sell us anyone…
He tends to play the same role as perisic
Yes, his preferred position is left winger, like Perisic, but I think Mertens is versatile and could play everywhere in attack.
but hes not right winger with lef footed, lol
He is too expensive for us, and we already had lots of winger, better spend on CM and FB
