Danilo D’Ambroso was interviewed by Inter Channel after the loss at the Mapei Stadium.
“We wanted to reopen the game in the second half, we had chances in the first half. Shortly in to the second we scored the 2-3 but the referee disallowed it and we got disheartened, then we ended up in 10. They played their game and manage to bring home the win. My goal vas valid. We were in our own half thinking it was valid after the referee gave it, but after many minutes maybe the linesman changed his mind. We never understood why, it is a shame because we reopened the game. In general we could have done more this season and reach third spot at least. There is remorse about not reaching it, but looking at the glass half full, Inter did not play in Europe for a year and we need to start over from there. From a personal point of view? In the beginning I did not play, but I never give up and managed to get a spot, repaying the confidence from the coach. Now I will try to improve next year.”
