Inter lost the last game of the season against Sassuolo and Roberto Mancini stopped for a chat with Premium Sport. He said there were mistakes made defensively by Inter, but he also complimented Sassuolo for their game. The shortest player on the pitch Politano scored a header, and was surprised to do so.
“Politano was amazed to score a header? I was amazed by this as well.”
The referee Gervasoni became a topic.
“The 3-2-goal that could have reopened the game at the 4th or 5th minute in the second half, the linesman saw it real well. He validated the goal, then he walked up to the center field with the referee and I don’t know what they said to each other. The goal was valid. But it is no use, it is part of a series of mistakes. It was just half a meter on side.. The red card for Murillo was nothing. But you could see that the referee wanted to remember the last game. My final vote on the referees? I am not interested in talking about this.”
As for the future and next season, Mancini is cautiously optimistic.
“I think that the team has a structure and that adding two, three players with experience and personality you could do better than this year. But everything depends on what will be. My words in yesterday’s press conference? In football you never know, because there are surprises every year. We need to talk and see where we can go and which goals can be set. Ljajic and Jovetic? Ljajic will surely return to Roma because he is on loan, then I don’t know. During the transfer window many things can happen.”

the best thing to do for the management, “coach” and players would be to shut the f up, focus on work, tactics, mentality and quit feeding Inter fans with false hopes every single year. in the “talking bullshit” Serie A we surely would have been champions…

I think Banega is coming despite the automatic extension (midfield improved). Erkin seems to be closed deal and it’s a huge improvement on left-back.
What we need is a great R-back, another midfielder, right winger, someone behind the striker/s and substitute for Icardi. Not an easy job but I trust Ausilio.

hmm “One of the worst squads”?? 2013-2014 we had; Samuel, Cambio, Zanetti still playing, Milito and an unknown Kovacic plus a younger version of Palacio of cause – back then, we actually had a much older squad than today (we have one of the youngest squads in Serie A today) and a squad with quality as well but a squad heading downhill, but today our young guns are heading uphill!
yep, that squad was disastrous. Capitano with torn achilles tendon, downhill Samuel and Milito (like it or not), Jonathan, Campagnaro, Ranocchia, Pereira, nagatomo, Wallace, Taider, Kuzmanovic, Alvarez, Belfodil and co… so yeah, that team was probably the weakest in the past 5 years

I have said time with out number,Mancini is a spent force, he’s got nothing to offer Inter any more. Inter should not let this guy to be helm, come next season. It’s high time he packed his bags and baggage and leave Inter. Letting be around next season will be a complete disaster to Inter. Mourinho should be rehired immediately for he’s the fans’ popular choice.
