Former Inter president Massimo Moratti turns 71 today and Inter captain Mauro Icardi posted a picture and a dedication to Moratti on Instagram.
“Today is the birthday of a person that means a lot to me, he was the one who brought me here to Milano to live this part of my life with these marvelous colors. Many best wishes to Massimo Moratti”

“He’s a good coach, experienced. He coached Inter in the past, he is the man who laid the foundations for the successes of 2010. He brought a winning mentality 10 years ago and he is the right man for this team.” -chivu-
I agree with chivu and I think all of our legend of 2010 will said the same about mancini, only a fool said contrary, we just need to be patient and give him until next year
they are just delusional, to think we can have an instant success.. we need time.. mancini maybe not the best coach in the world, but he is the best that available for us today.. and to say that mancini is the worst coach that inter ever have is disgraceful.. because this guy is one of two coach that gave us scudetto in the last 20 years.. and this guy gave our first scudetto after almost 2 decades of waiting.. some young fans are just irrational with their expectation from this team..be realistic, we’re not that rich club we used to be, and serie a not as glamorous as it used to be.. so mancini is what we needed to lure the good player to come here..
we are doomed….
My dream come true
Ce vis ca-s aceleasi commuri la toate articolele si nu inteleg? Sau erai ironic la faptul ca Mancini ramane?
:)) evident , ironic – sa termini un sezon in halul asta si sa fii reconfirmat si pt urmatorul sezon cum as putea altfel fi ?
what means 100% u nuccessful season 16/17….
There are some fact :
1. Inter getting better when MANCINi left (sacked) then coached by mourinho
2. Man city getting better when MANCINI left (sacked) then coached by pellegrini
3. Galatasaray getting better when MANCINI left (sacked) then coached by hamzaoglu (12 points better)
Keeping MANCINI only make every club worst
How is City better now with Pelligrini and 4th place than with Mancini?
You want some fact? Mancini train Inter from 2004-2008 and take Inters first league title in 17 years then he take 2 more after that, he take 1 coppa Italia and 2 supercoppa italia under he’s time in inter! He move too City and take their first league title in 44 years! He move to Galatasaray and win the Turkish cup. And I think Prandelli was the trainer after Mancini and then Hamzoglu came. He had one good year ther and got sacked!
So face it. Mancini has a status in Europe as a trainer that few other trainers have. He is a great team builder and you can’t say anything else. The only thing you can say is that you don’t like him and that’s you opinion!
inter are the world number 1 team before mancini.. we always win 10-0 againts everybody.. we never lose before.. we never even park the buss before.. we played the most entertaining football in the history before mancini come… so you’re right mate!!! mancini destroyed inter!!!!! sack mancini!!! safe inter!!!!
Spot on, we used to teach barca tiki taka..infact our legendary herrera was the one who inventing total football long time before rinus michels. So negative football never be our DNA until mancini came.
He’s smart for not naming the trophy….most likely the Coppa tim becuase with FFP he’s not going to be able to put the team he needs together to compete on 3 fronts
if management decides to keep Mancini then i’ll pass my next year tv subscription, nothing for me with this clown in charge, guys i hated him when we used to win scudetto(s) because we played terrible football, can you imagine someone win the league every year but terrible at champions league for years, INTER squad quality has helped him a lot just like this year.
mark my words if he stays for next year we would end lower than 4th position, team without our quality players and money performed as good as us, next year they will return stronger and he will suffer from the beginning and claim his squad is adjusting to his “fresh” tactics and has many new players /or young players in squad.
stop whining! mancini has done an ok job, though the pressure will be higher on him next season. this is the reasoning:
– more points than last year
– good charisma and leadership skills –> attracts good players
– few alternate coaches –> who are better than mancini and who will take his seat? not to mention the cost of changing the coach..
mancini got flaws (maybe tactically and potentially motivating skills), but you cannot deny his professionalism, quality and experience. let him have one more season to make this team really shine. he have done it before and may do it again. hes reputation of a squad builder is excellent and i can not understand why beautiful football is more important than results in this time of inters state.
i say, let the man do his job and hope for 2nd or 3rd next year. with quality reinforcements it will happened. One thing is for sure and that is that inter would not get third place with mazzarri and those players he could “lure” to the club.
Sharply pointed there, sir 🙂
OK job? hahahahah.
– more points than last year?
we finished last year with almost as bad as strama’s season which had us the lowest points since i don’t even remember when. and it was also under him that we had one of the worst season ever last year
– good charisma and leadership skills –> attracts good players
now that’s a stupidly ridiculous logic right there. good players will come if the management were/are serious enough to build the team and to support the coach. those “good” players that came since last season only came because the management gave the permission to bring them instead of brought the likes of jonathan and co like they did for several other coaches before. and also what is the point of having good players when the coach doesn’t know how to properly use them?
– few alternate coaches
hahahahah 😀 few? a lot of coach would done a lot better with this team. even a rookie strama would had done a lot lot better with these kind of players
flaws? what flaws? he doesn’t have flaws. he is just totally bad in almost every part of being a coach. if the only good thing that he can do is “attracts good players” then he is definitely not a coach. “he have done it before” when was it? when ibra orchestrated the team to won scudetto? or when sergio aguero gave city the premiership? it’s never about beautiful football, it is about there are no football at all. it’s just a bunch of players kicking the ball without no direction at all. that is not football.
hahahahah quality reinforcements 😀 an ibra kind of reinforcements? 😀 pretty sure mazzarri, ranieri, leonardo, or even benitez would take us to 3rd place with these kind of players
Oh cmon can you just be positive?
What would you expect? Starting all over again with a new coach and strategiy? That’s not a guarantee. Not good for our finance.
Give him one more season, if its worse you can complain all the way you like.
I’m not mancini lover nor mazzari.
Oh, and stop dreaming inter will play like barca or arsenal. We won CL also with shitty football. Face the reality dude.
I’m going to answer you pr paragraph:
1. last season was saved by icardi. a 22-year-old scoring 22 (league) and a total of 27 goals during the season. mancini didn’t dramatically turn things around, but the team was more or less ruined by mazzarri and other coaches until mancini took over. and yes, last season was a disaster.
2. my logic are not that dumb. this is the players mazzarri got: vidic, m’vila, medel and osvaldo. This is mancini’s: podolski, shaqiri and brozovic. Let me remind you that inters team was of players like kuzmanovic, naga, johnny, JJ, rano, and other weak ones. take a look on the players that are there today! with minor changes to FB-positions, midfield and RW inter will have a complete team. rumors are suggesting Erkin and Banega already are on their way. Do you think mazzarri would have a chance of getting these players?
furthermore, money alone are not good enough for a, I’m sorry to say this but, mid-table team. miranda and perisic is excellent buys. mancini has also participated directly to persuade players to join the team. the results on paper is: jovetic, miranda, kondogbia, perisic. name one coach (that at the same time will accept inter coaching role) that would attract something similar.
lastly, the management will give more backing to leaders who are proven. it would be a gamble to have a non-winning coach with a big budget. you have to prove yourself to earn respect and more flexibility.
3. at this point you may be right or you may be wrong. the results are not the best, but again with 11 new players many coaches would struggle creating chemistry. criticism could be made about his constant changes of formations. BTW; dont criticize stramacchioni. he is a very talented coach and i think he will have a good future.
4. mancini is an expert in creating teams and choosing the right players to play for the club. he may not be good at making the best of every player, but in my eyes mancini will not stay in inter for ever. this is just a phase – a transition. mancini will use his skills to get the right players and to eventually get the CL spot. next year or the year after he will move to england and it seems like Simeone will take over as coach. at this point inter will be very competitive and have a solid base of players with ok subs.
mancini has transformed inter and man city in the past. with inter he won the scudetto 3 years in a row, 17 consecutive league matches won and the most successful manager in inter in 30 years. in addition he has won coppa italia with both fiorentina and lazio under less than good circumstances. He has developed players like maicon, julio cesar, maxwell, with more for inter.
imo mancini is a good fit with inter. he needs and should be given one more year. to start over again with a new coach would be unwise.
5. at last. i have already mentioned banega and erkin. with an RB (peres/vrsaljko?), MF (biglia?) and an RW (candreva/berardi?) inter would have a great team of 11 players. the problems of chemistry would be less problematic as the core team now have a good understanding of his tactics and formations.
oh, and by the way. benitez would ruin inter again. look what he did to real madrid. a team with unlimited founds and extraordinary players..
this message got a little longer than i expected but plane hate or ignorance is not good for anybody. he has done an ok job, so let him do it better next year.
Im awaiting your answer.
well said..
I dont know why some of our fans cannot be more patient, but your explanation were so true mate
So true man!!
He will destroy Inter for good , thats for sure –
Boy we could really use a Chivu right now. Plays everywhere in defense.
I still remember a Serbian guy who joined us from a German team for a small fee a few seasons ago 😀
Kuz XD
