Jonathan Calleri has extended his six month loan deal to Sao Paulo by a further two months the Brazilian Football Federation announced. Once a target of Inter, Calleri will play with the club until the end of July to allow him to participate in the clubs Copa Libertadores campaign. It would now appear that current favourites to sign him, Fiorentina will need to wait that little bit longer before doing so.

I like Calleri, but I think if we are looking for a vice-Icardi, that’s exactly what we should buy. Calleri has much more flair and is very free form, whereas we should be looking for another poacher type. Personally, I like Haller and Janssen from the Dutch League, but my favorite, although slightly more technical, is Breel Embolo. Embolo is practically a young Balotelli, he has everything you need to be a top striker, and I think he can be as good as he wants to be if things go right for him.
