Inter’s Croatian duo Marcelo Brozović and Ivan Perišić got their country’s Euro 2016 campaign off to a winning start earlier today with a 1-0 triumph versus Turkey. The game was ultimately decided by a wonderstrike by Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modrić.
Brozović, whilst poor in the first half, played excellently after the break with his side looking dangerous on the counter-attack due to Turkey pushing hard for an equaliser. Perišić meanwhile was outstanding throughout, providing a constant threat and created many dangerous attacking moves on the left side. He put in a fine shift defensively too and left the field to a standing ovation from Croatian fans.
One notable name on the Turkish teamsheet was that of new Inter signing Caner Erkin, who arrives on a free transfer from Fenerbahçe. He played a physically strong match, however his crossing and attacking play was not up to standard today.

well, people talk about him like he overrated himself and acted like he was Messi. he didnt. he was brought in at 18, given the #10 jersey and expected to carry Inter on his shoulders without any playmates on the pitch. we paid low price for him and managed to earn a lot, while on the other hand we bought junks for more
did he overrate himself or was it Moratti, the whole Inter management, coach and the fans…?
agree i just dont rate him as overrated, it should be overrated if we take 50+mln for him but we took what is consider normal price for average player nowadays. james rodriguez also didnt playe and real payed almost 3 times what they pay for kovacic
brozo always gets better as time passes
i dont rate him as overrated. because he is still young and he can improve. he was fucked up by mancio and then he goes to real madrid. that move i still cant understand because he was still not good enough to be a starter in real madrid midfield. which position in real’s midfield do u think he was supposed to take??? he is still young and one good season can send him on top of talents list fast. but when we are talking about overrated players – jovetic is the name that comes in my mind without any doubt!!! just for information we sold him for 30mln, check how much money portugalese teams wants for their stars or how much newcastle gave for overrated thauvin and what was his stats this season.
me too ;-))))))
GO CROATIA, GOOOOOOOOOOO !!!
Brozovic was the weakest link in the croat squad, but then again, why was he on the right? he is clearly clueless there, proved many times at Inter already… if it goes on like this, we might be lucky to get rid of him for 15
im glad we didnt pay any money for Erkin
That moment when Perisic assisted for Brozovic was all Inter action. Too bad didn’t finish with goal. Forza Croatia.
where was kovacic!? oh he’s only a bench player!? isn’t he a new iniesta!?
hmm…
it’s weird..
it’s must be because RM secretly coaching Croatia now..
their coach must be the worst coach ever then.. hahahaha
agreed absolutely, he is just a FAKE ! a big one .
So what’s your point? For every young player in the world, will be hard to be starter instead of two experienced starters for Real and Barcelona, Modric and Rakitic!!! As i know we sold Kovacic to buy Kondogbia, not Perisic! Let that one is midfielder and another winger. But most important thing is that we sold Kovacic, because Mister Flawless Almighty Master doesn’t want him, but haven’t problem to bring his old friend Melo! Anyway, in my humble opinion compared to our present midfielders, Kovacic is most creative player and Juventus are not so stupid to observe him!
my point is he’s overated. and i used perisic as comparison because someone here use kova to said bad think about perisic some time ago.. let’s see if kova can proof me wrong(and i’m happy with it).
kovasic is not a winger, and he got benched for epic brozo in the national team
not really, epicguarin2.0 has nothing to do with it, Kovac used Modric and Kovacic in the middle, but Cacic prefers the more defensive minded Badelj alongside Modric in the middle
if he was so useful, they would make a team around him, oh wait he still doesn’t have a preferred position to play !
i cant understand why u are always talking about kovacic. just let it go already!
this article make me remember about the guy who said that perisic is overated and kova is the real deal some time ago. i just stating what’s come in my mind.. is there something wrong with that!? or did i said something that hurt your feeling!? i hope not, because that guy didn’t use “fuckmancio” as his name.^^
loved to see him on the bench, that’s where he belongs, I remember srna the captain claimed that inter is killing kovasic and he needs to leave inter to become great, look at him now lol
Perisic is amazing like usual.. Brozo is unstable like usual, sometimes horrible and sometimes amazing.. I don’t know usual Erkin, but I see he is better than all of our FB..
erkin = dumbrosio 2.0
D’Ambrosio is at least good at defending…
yes, when i watching him, i always ask myself why we sold johnny? lol
Juventus…
even Alaba makes mistakes… but still, from a defensive point of view, D’Ambrosio was far superior to the japanese clown, telles or santon. the only problem with him is that he plays the exact same way vs. Carpi or Barcelona…
Erkin lost track of Crotia’s players on several occasions, which worries me, but let’s hope it’s the lack of playtime all year. Perisic was a beast, so many spot on crosses, should have scored. Brozo started horribly, but coped as the time passed by. Should have scored at least twice. His working rates are incredible, tough.
that’s worrisome
perisic played brilliantly, his header hitted the crossbar too. caner was decent, but the best for turkey. i still dont understand how brozovic is valued around 30 million he is very unstable
shhh quite, his eventual buyers will hear u! we need to take as much as possible money.
Perisic played really well, Brozo got better as the game went on. Caner not too good.
