It is no secret that Inter are fond of the idea of having Diego Simeone as coach of the Nerazzurri at some point in the future.
For now, however, Simeone remains on the bench at Atletico Madrid, but admitted to Marca that the prospect of coaching abroad is appealing.
“I’m young and probably the future will bring me to different leagues. The English league and Serie A fascinate me.”
“Atletico coach and manager for Argentina at the same time, could you do it?” His answer: “No one has ever done it, maybe in the future it is a real possibility, because many coaches want and can not do it for contracts with their clubs. In the future it could be a possibility.”
Simeone was asked about his comments after the Champions League final, in which he hinted he may leave Atleti.
“Everything I thought I could not express in a short time and say to the press, but we are strong, with enthusiasm, excitement we will resume with my players.
“This is what I learned, working well during the pre-season, let’s see how to leverage what we have. “You were close to leaving?” Simeone replied: “I’ve never talked about this, it is very difficult to explain, for me it was like a death and death you must fight. And I had to do it.”
