Santon is not good enough while D`Ambrosio is better defensively than Erkin, Serie A proven and won’t bitch about not starting.
Why is everyone bashing D’Ambrosio? He was our best fullback last season and I believe he’s going to start most of the games this season as well. Ansaldi will play on the left side and D’Ambrosio on the right.
Also Nagatomo improved last season. He became more cynical and learned positioning. He has some serious flaws, but also characteristics that might be useful against certain team. He is superfast and picked off Salah like a boss. So selling Santon and Dodo (which they are doing) seems like the best option.

He can play anywhere in defence RB, CB and LB. Very useful.
Yes, I believe he can be a great starter and a great sub for any position in the back! He can play anywhere in the back line and that is very very useful, u can’t find many players that can play multiple positions in the back.

We need 4 Fullbacks to fight in 3 competitions. If Santon’s sale goes through, and Dodo loans to Samp, then we need to keep hold on him.
Also given the fact that he can play CB, he might be useful, for the last minute sale of Medel and Rano…

Medel should not be sold he played for Chile as FB and his preformance was solid back then and Kondogbia can play as LB and D’ambrosio can cover both sides too if Mancio think that way many players will get more playing time and we don’t need to buy FBs at the moment unless the player is going to be a top class level

If we can get a better player than erkin for our first team LB, its okay to sell him. But its very rarely to find a great FB these days.

After Ansaldi and unproven Erkin, i prefer to keep ambro (can play R/LB and i still believe in him), naga (can play R/LB, he has more speed than other), n the last is for santon, or maybe our primavera, just let Dodo go where he can start over his career. if we can get someone better, i would easily agree to get rid of them even erkin.

I think that D’ambrosio is much better than Erkin, and that he is still the best RB that we have. Also, it is very hard to find a good full back in recent years. Just try to think of someone we could buy for that position, who is considerably better than D’ambrosio.
I also believe D`Ambrosio is better defensively than Erkin and we should keep him as he was captain of Torino! Great character, won’t cause any trouble even if Ansaldi is starting over him.
