Mauro Icardi’s Inter future is still up in the air. Thanks to his wife and agent Wanda Nara, there appears to be no end to the drama surrounding his future.
Calciomercato.com reports that EPL club Chelsea have made first contact for the Argentine, who has been linked with their London rivals Arsenal.
Despite having already signed Michy Batshuayi, Antonio Conte is desperate to add some depth to Chelsea’s forward department, and is losing hope in signing Everton star Romelu Lukaku.
Although the Gunners have not yet bid for the 23-year-old striker, Napoli have reportedly presented two offers in the form of €60million straight cash or €40million plus Italian striker Manolo Gabbiadini.
Napoli will meet Wanda again this week seeking clarity on Icardi’s situation at the club..

I think your wrong. Icardi is NOT indispenible for Inter…and i’ll tell u why: 1. Icardi has qualities, i agree. But does he got such quality that he is better than lets say Abumeyang (also young)?, No, he has not…lets be fair. His the guy we think could be a propper star upfront, we hope can be a star, but does he have those qualities? No, not in a sence compared to others..
2. If we do not sell Icardi we will sit with a problem, and the problem this..How can we say no to Napoli and their 60 m-bonus? for a player that is still only a talent?..Icardi and his shit-wife would go mental. Tired of this. Just freakin’ tired of it. In many ways it would be wise to keep him, however I feel like we’re going to put up with this BS whining every transfer window if we do. The guy’s a starlet, not a captain. Make Handa, or Miranda, or maybe even Banega or Candreva our captain (in time).
If we can sell Icardi and get back a quality attacker and a top fullback (Gabigol/Insigne + Peres/Darmian?), I’d give it some real thought. We do still have Jovetic & Eder to help put balls in nets.

With all the flaws he have, Icardi is proven scorer, who grantees goals even without players like Candreva, Banega, settled Perisic behind him. And considering that he’s still very young, it’s very likely that his price will only rise. It will be plain stupid to reinforce direct rival like Napoli, even for 60 million. We can gain such amount, if we’re going to qualify for Champions League next season. Let alone, that ten days before the start of season and twenty before the end of the transfer window will be extremely hard to find quality replacement!

Darmian was utter crap in United! He was back up, even to a guy called Guillermo Varela and he was benchwarmer in national team on European Championship! He’s almost 27 and United paid around 20 millions for him, guess if he would be good deal now!
First of all, I didn’t say sell him to Napoli. If we’re going to sell him I’d rather he went to the EPL (this article is, after all, primarily about Chelsea’s interest).
Also, I didn’t say Gabigol or or Insigne could “replace” Icardi. I said sell Icardi for a quality attacker and a top fullback. You’re not going to “replace” him for under $50m, I’m aware of that, so stop putting words in my mouth.
I’m also just not as high on him as many people seem to be. He’s got a great conversation rate yes, and that makes him valuable. But I prefer players who are better at creating the chances, and Icardi sucks at that. He’s not a speedster, he’s not dominant in the air, and he’s a sub-par passer and dribbler.
Don’t get me wrong, if he wasn’t being such a pain then I wouldn’t even be saying anything, because again, his finishing ability is valuable. But if he’s gonna be a whiny baby every transfer window, then I’m happy to swap him for an actual legit fullback and an attacker who can create chances, and give Jovetic & Eder their time to shine. We just gave him a new contract A YEAR AGO. He needs to shut his trap.

I would sell Icardi only if we would be able to buy Aubameyang. He can fit more to De Bour style than Icardi and he is already improved player. Very nice solution to buy Gabigol but only to give more depth to attack, not to replace Icardi. Full back needed and center back to rotate with Miranda and Murillo. If De Bour like Blind, so buy him. In miedfied we are ok, if there will not be any departure.

We had real men as players in the squad, what made us as Inter was dignity and charisma in the players… Cambiasso, samuel and zanetti were not the most talented players but they were the most respected players, that made them the best. If you think that someone should be old enough to become a captain then you might get it wrong. Even when in the first season captaining Inter, it was crystal clear that Zanetti was protected by Inter senior players. Zamorano, Di Biagio, and Blanc always stood up first to confront referee or opponents when decision went against Inter.
You cannot just compare someone who only had one year experience as captain with people like Cuchu, Zanetti, or Samuel. It is not even an apple to apple comparison dude. Have you ever seen Icardi lose his calmness and composure when captaining Inter? I have seen none. And if you think good striker is someone who possesses great dribbling skills, good passing ability, and high work rate then how do you judge the classic number 9 such as Van Nistelrooy, Vieri, Toni, and Inzaghi?? Those players are never known for their dribbling skills,passing, or even work rate. Every striker has their own ability, you should live with it.
Back to icardi again, this guy always leading by example. You can tell that he carried Inter in the last two seasons with his goals and assist, not to mention he changed his playing style to adapt to Mancini’s tactics. Besides that, Icardi loves Inter and you can tell by looking at his tweet and car. He even never said that he wants to leave. It is the bitch, Wanda, who always creates drama all the time. Of course the fact that he loves Inter doesn’t mean he can automatically selected as captain but if someone like Ranocchia became Inter captain in the past, how the hell someone like Icardi doesn’t deserve the captaincy. As for your number 9 examples, they had only 2-3 season peaks and then their carreer has faded. Players like ibrahimovic, rooney, suarez and even lacazette. Look at them. Someone reported a few days ago: Inter doesn’t want to sell him, but he should make it clear and say that he wants to stay. If that happens he will get a new contract.
If he wants to push for transfer, he should do it now, so that Inter could avoid situation of having a big amount of money and lacking striker on the last days of mercato.
