I am pro Medel however I find that too many of his teammates expect him to do it all. In this way the team is not mature. The only way to change is not to play him. Hopefully Joao won’t do this and that he has the desire to boss the ball.
A lot is on Banega since Medel cannot pass ball more than 10 m away. So he must constantly go back for ball without making hole in attack. Its not easy.

No it wouldn’t, I’m sick of that myth. It is just the matter of defending as a unit, everyone need to pitch in and we would be just fine, especially again teams like Pescara.. Medel is a man less when it comes to build-up play, if Pescara press us high we will again have a lot of problems because one of our mid’s and both fullbacks are afraid of the ball and are useless when it comes to playing it out of defence. If Banega is playing as a no.10 he will have to drop back alot to help our build-up and we will have a man less up front. And if Banega is playing like regista and Medel gets an attacking role again, well we saw how that work out against Palermo..
Defending as a unit, I would like to see Inter playing like that, but, we have at least 3-4 players, who can’t do that, and I mean: Icardi – because he’s a lazy guy and almost never works in defence, Medel – OK, here I agree, he’s useless in attack, and, our fullbacks. It’s not that bad when we have Santon/D’Ambro, but let’s replace one of them and put Naga… that would be a disaster, because in unit attacking/defending we need disciplined players! We won’t see Inter playing like that for, let’s say, two years? (when we buy a fullbacks, DM and hardworking striker)
Watch Icardi today, you’ll see that he chases down defenders and DM on a regular basis.
