Frank De Boer spoke with Premium Sport immediately after the victory against Juventus:
“Obviously we have worked hard during practice last couple of days, I believe in this squad. We are in an early stage and now the lads have understood our project and today they proved that. Today we conceded the first goal, but we didn’t lose our heads and kept on fighting. Like we did from the first minute to the last. We played well. Juventus had their chances, it’s a fantastic team, but at the end we won and we deserved it. I told the guys the mistakes we did in the last three games, they need to continue like this during practice. The most important thing is to believe how we play and today I saw a team that fought until the end and play with a lot of quality.”
“The turning point? It’s always hard to explain, we have to be realistic. Beyond what everyone says. you don’t win titles at an early stage like this. You can beat Juventus and lose against Empoli.
