SKY reports live from Appiano Gentile that Stefano Pioli, main suspect of the possible names taking over from De Boer, recently returned in Italy after being in United States on vacation. Yet another indication that the former Lazio coach will take De Boer’s place.

Too bad for FDB but his management style was too rigid. Players tend to stick together if they feel some of them are not treated fairly and they obviously betrayed him on the pitch. First signs came against beer sheva, where the usual bench didn’t even put up any efforts. Now even first team doesn’t look motivated against weak teams. Good luck to him though, maybe he’ll learn that you can’t manage players that are paid millions the same like kids from ajax academy.

Any ways, if we do not go for Blanc I would prefer Pioli any day to any of the other alternatives!
He did great with Lazio, played 4-3-3 which suites us, and made Lazio play great football! Players like Anderson, Biglia and CANDREVA flourish under his command, and the team play tight at the back, focusing on counter attacking! He took Lazio to 3 in his 1.year with them if I’m not mistaken!
