This is what Danilo D’Ambrosio had to say about the derby:
“Pioli wanted the external midfielders to move differently so the full-backs could have more room. And if they would fail it was up to us full-backs to do it. We performed really well, it’s a shame that we didn’t win though. I knew there would be more space having Niang at my side, it’s a shame my crosses couldn’t result in any goal. But this is what I have to do. Now we have to look at our situation as “a glass half full”, next week we concentrate on Europa League.”
