I’m all in for the young players (as everyone who has been long enough in this thread knows). But bringing Messi (even at the age of 34) will bring us a new fan base. A lot of us started following Inter for the Brazilian Ronaldo, now it is time to bring in younger fans, and much needed media attention and fanbase after a long absence from European competitions..
And this was only the commercial aspect of it. Messi is the most intelligent player that ever existed on the planet earth. Even if he is older, he can play a role as a traquista, while also he is a great free kick taker.

What makes Messi want to join Inter? When in Barca he got huge wage, win a lot of trophies, be a captain, always play regulary. And the most important thing is Barca trust to play him when he got diagnose some serious injury while he was young. Messi owe a lot to Barca.
