Frank De Boer spoke to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf about his time in Inter and had the following to say: “Of course I didn’t want it to end like this. This experience has drained me on energy: three months seemed to be a year. I got the request to coach the team 10 days before the championship started and then there was the language issue, it all just became too much for me. Preparations had to be done during the championship instead of two months before it started. I hoped that the club would give me more time, at least that was the idea when I took the job. Management knew that I’m not a coach for short-term projects.”
Do you feel that your career took a blow by being sacked? “Absolutely not, I knew from the beginning that this was going to be a difficult project. Inter is still one of the top clubs in the world and if I would have succeded this would have been great. Two days after being sacked I received a couple of offers, but I have decided to start to work again next season. 4-5 teams has offered me a contract but I’m going to wait until the end of May before I decide.”

Smh..this is what happen if press out of news, and poor him, forecefully answered the same questions again and again. This is nothing new, just getting refresh and rephrase…LOL
He will be ok somewhere else, maybe even FCB, but losing to unknown opposition in Milan is unacceptable.
true I think he can be great for FCB, his styale suits them. Possesion and attacking.
i have a different opinion to everyone else on here. I believe his main problem (obviously there were many) was that he simply didnt know enough about the teams he was playing.
Listening to Pioli it is clear that he knows so much about each team in the league regarding players and tactics of theirs.
How much could De Boer honestly know about teams like Chievo etc.
Nope..he replace K-dog earlier coz he know K-dog will be troublsome. He also pick Miangue as LB. His method is disciplinary..that’s why Brozo didn’t fit. Above all is how can you coach a team that 10 days will begin and he doesn’t have any player that he request. Yes, he doesn’t have experiment in serie A. But seriously, which coach who dare to coaching Inter with only 10 days to go. Blame the management. De Boer have a guts you know. Respect him.
Clearly, first, de boer is blind about a big club and serie a, instead he wanted to apply his method with ajax to inter which is inter–>obviously have different taste in tactics, approaching players, tactics, it won’t work, look at pochettino, even him needed to settle in different team in EPL before establish his style at tottenham, etc
Fdb, your biggest fault was you tried to implement your football ideas with players that didnt suit your ideas. It was impossible since the beginning, my interista friend said that i thought he just being pessimistic, now i understand that
i appreciate his courage to accept the ridiculous offer from tohir.. i mean who in his right mind will accept the job 10 days before the season start.. SMH..
Well, it toke Pioli the same amount of time to get us back on the track – either you know your shit or … you dont!
pioli is different case.. simply because he know serie a and fdb don’t.. i’m not defending fdb.. just want to be fair.. just like what i did to every inter coach..
Unfortunately for us, you also lost the locker room in less than two months. I was convinced that you needed to go because of that, and Icardi made it clear the other day that many players didn’t feel motivated under him. Not to mention the unbalanced defense Miranda pointed out yesterday.
True. Miranda was right about that. FDB should realized that he can’t force total offensive play in Italy.
However I believe, his language issue was the main barrier why he could’t do things like do a ‘motivation or moral boost’ talk.
