Suning are looking to reinforce the Inter defence. In sight is a world-class full-back (currently identified as Ricardo Rodriguez), but also a central defender to partner Miranda. Two ‘hot’ names to that effect, claims the Corriere dello Sport, are Marquinhos of Paris Saint-Germain and Kostas Manolas of Roma. Some distance behind is Stefan De Vrij of Lazio.

“Being able to decide with your hands free, you probably would choose the Brazilian Paris Saint-Germain defender, but we know that to take him from the French club is not easy because Sheikh Al Thani does not sell champions,” explains CORSPORT.

“Ausilio has lost hope, because he understands that the player is not going to renew his contract (expiring in 2019).”

On Manolas: “The Greek, that in these two and a half years has become the key element of the Roma rearguard, has said he will not renew his contract which expires in 2019. His agent has so far not given hope of prolonging his stay with Roma, who have decided to sell it in the summer and not in the current winter mercato.

Roma values Manolas at a minimum of €40million and there is plenty of competition. Finally De Vrij, who also may be leaving the capital, but president Claudio Lotito is only willing to sell abroad and would not strengthen a rival.
