Ansaldi has assets (strength, energy, aggression). He is fine against the small and middleweight teams. If you watched the NHL in the 70s, 80s, and 90s it was common for the coach to deploy the goon who’s purpose was to intimidate the oppositions fast skillful players. Ansaldi is a goon. I say this respectfully. Point being, he struggles to contain a talented winger or wingback. Then again so did Chiuvu. Furthermore, Maicon-esque players are not easy to find.

Ansaldi isn’t bad. I don’t understand the hate on the guy. He does some stupid things sometimes but going forward he creates a lot of space for the rest of the team.
