Marco Verratti is the main objective of Barcelona for next season, according to newspaper El Mundo Deportivo.

They state that the Blaugrana leadership has identified Verratti as the man to bring back something which has been missing to the Barca midfield since the departure of Xavi who – at the time – pointed to the former Pescara midfielder as his ideal successor.

Paris Saint-Germain, with which the 24 year old has a contract until 2021, does not intend to sell the player and have recently confirmed he is in their future plans. But after the defeat in the Champions League at the hands of Barcelona, the player will be very annoyed by certain criticisms concerning his private life (reports of being at a nightclub on the eve of the game) and this is why he has instructed his agent Donato Di Campli to listen to any offers.

According to Catalan newspaper, the Barcelona would be willing to invest €70 million for Verratti.
