Corriere dello Sport suggests that last night’s defeat to Fiorentina could spell the end of Stefano Pioli’s tenure at Inter.
“Stefano Pioli’s adventure on Inter’s bench was finished last night after a historic KO from the team that he could be employed by next season,” the paper reports.
“The Nerazzurri leaders are embarrassed by their opponents. Last night they spoke with the coach for 50 minutes and are now looking at punitive measures.
“Tomorrow the team may be resting because Napoli visit on Sunday. While they train for the last few games of the season it shows that few of the protagonists are suitable for the project and the team lacks leadership.”
In terms of new management, Antonio Conte seems far-fetched, Diego Simeone remains a hope. The paper reports that if the two become an impossibility, Piero Ausilio will look at Luciano Spalletti, because the foreign options don’t always convince completely.

Suning group listened to Kia Joorabchian is the problem. He’s just an agent, working for his own profit…yet he sold Gabigol, JM to us and suggested Pioli…and we all got them. Joorabchian is the only person laughing to the bank while destroying Inter.
agreed, Kia have nothing relation about our plan, target, club development, coach needed players. if I was Kia, I will suggest inter to take some player that easier to sign, and marketable, so it will make more profit as agent.
Agree with my brothers comment below: It’s the players who were failed us all the time, they all lazy and have soft mentality… they all think that they are superstar players on par with Messi and CR7, in fact they all are shit! WE don’t need to change the coach, we need to revamp the whole squad! We need to brainstorm their minds that this is FOOTBALL, they need to fight the whole season, not only 1 game! I’m really fed up with these unambitious players. After all these years, Ausilio still can’t “drain the swamp”, and like juve does for example, try to recruit only players that have strong personalities.
We need winners and sadly, we have very few of those in our squad. Miranda was trying to defend alone during the second half. I couldn’t believe my eyes, how the whole defensive unit from the mid to the defense just melted away. I felt bad for Miranda and Handa for real.

Everyone are talking about Monaco – and like I wrote another place people always talk about Bernardo, Mbappe and Babakyoko but forget Falcao, Moutinho, Glik, Raggi and Subisic all players around 30 years old and players with quality who plays in every line on the pitch!

Yeah hopefully spalleti will come in july and star new inter asap..if inter give him free choice on the market then we would see a different inter next season.. Can’t wait to see
We need to wait and see. Spalletti (or whoever else) will demand 2-3 years of contract, which means we’ll miss out on Simeone or have to fire this new coach on June ’18, on top of paying Pioli throughout the ’17-’18 campaign anyways.
Sacking Pioli right now is a bad, bad idea.
The results, the news that Pioli wanted to resing, because he feels the players are not playing for him anymore… I wish this would have gone differently, but it’s game over for Pioli.
I don’t remember reading about Pioli wanting to rest. If that news is true, then we can probably have him leave on mutual consent, in which case we don’t have to pay him through the ’17-’18 campaign.
This still doesn’t remove the fact that we will be stuck with a new coach with multi-year contract and missing out on Simeone, or we have to sack the new coach in June ’18 to pave the way for Simeone. Either way, it won’t be a great scenario for Inter.
