The road of Stefano Pioli finishes here, just like the hope of Inter to play Europa League next season. Gazzetta dello Sport continues: “Pioli doesn’t have the team anymore after two points in the last five games. We will not see an immediate separation but in the first “true” year as managament of the club, Suning will bring a new coach in as soon as possible in order to give him enough time to start building the team. The goal is of course to return to the UCL in 2018. On the wishlist is also Lele Oriali, one of the main characters from the triplete era. Contacts have already been made with Antonio Conte and Diego Simeone and Inter still awaits a definitive answer from the two, but it’s hard to get at this stage of the season where the Premier League and the UCL are in their final phase”.

Pioli has made improvements, but could not fix that fundamental problem, which is a gap between management’s mind and coach’s expectation. This gap kills Inter by inconsistent transfer policy, unstable vision and “stupid” selection of players. If we want to fix core problems at Inter, we need to answer following:
1. Why we still keep Nagatomo, Santon, Biabiany, Palacio, who are useless but expensive.
2. What’s the point of signing expensive Gabigol (35-40m?)? To become a long-standing benchwarmer? Joao Mario (almost 50m?)? To become an inconsistent starter?
3. Why we still trust and play Ansaldi, Brozovic, Medel, who are overrated and useless dick-heads?
This team has no mental leader-manager. We have a JZ or Cambiasso curse! No leader means no team game. We have to reborn a true leader and develop the team around him! The problem in locker room: Nobody is a true leader and nobody recognizes one as a leader because they are all new and has no mid-to-long run memory. Shit!
1. Nagatomo didn’t want to leave the club (loyal to Inter), Santon couldn’t pass physical. Biabiany I can’t speak of – 4 year contract on the benchwarmer is insane indeed. Palacio might not do much now but he has contributed over the years; it’s not fair to bash Palacio.
2. Suning group doesn’t know football, they trust the so-called super agent Kia Joorabchian. Guess what, Joorabchian made Inter buy Gabigol and JM.
3. Ansaldi is the best LB we have at the moment, if not Nagatomo. Brozovic should have been sold last summer, and Medel should be deployed at DMF, not CB.
Orialli is a MUST. Ausilio is fucking trash. You don’t win with guys like him that look for untalented, not needed players constantly. He’s made 1-2 good acquisitions since being in charge in the past what 3 years?
Neither Conte nor Simeone are coming so what’s the point of sacking a man who finally is getting to see and know the “real” quality of our squad? Ever since Pioli came in he players have “over played” that is played beyond they own abilities but now they’re showing just how bad they are.
I still think we should keep Pioli because getting some one in just for the case of getting someone new isn’t the way to go. If Simeone quits Atelti then we should make the change otherwise just keep Pioli and let him fix your problems during the summer
You need to stop drinking if you think that Pioli can “fix our problems”.
No, sacking the coach is the only way to go. And bringing in a overrated foreigner (because no Italian coach is available besides Spaletti) and he of course would want to give everyone in the squad a fair chance to show themselfs and what they can in training and matches, so not many will leave but will rather stay and fight for their chances at the club – just like the last 10years! That way players like Santon, Naga and what have you won’t leave.
Plus the new coach would require time to get used to everything at Inter and in Italy and to get to know his new squad .. time we haven’t got next year!
Plus, if we get a new coach now, Simeone won’t come beca use the new coach would demand a 2-3 year long contract and that’ll rule Simeone out 2018.
Sure: that’s a much better road to down than that of keeping Pioli next summer, and letting sell the players w don’t need and buy the quality we do need!
And who fixed our problems last 20-25 years, when we changed hundred coaches? As I said many times before, if changing coaches was best solution, Zamperini’s Palermo supposed to have at least several Scudetto’s and minimum one Champions League! Everything starts from the hights, we still don’t have real CEO, missing chief of the scout department, Thohir is president only on paper. We need strong, professional management, clear long term project, building step by step and huge patience! Everything else will lead to the same that we was watching last 25 years!
