If this was the case, then Pioli would play players who need experience like Pinamonti and Gabigol, as well as players we need to sell like Santon anf Brozo. Even if the next coach and management decide that Inter shouldn’t play in EL for some reason, then they can field a weak team for the qualifier. The team just fell apart when it was clear they won’t make it for the ECL. I believe the players get pissed at the weak defenders’ blunders and they lose desire to play hard and sacrifice for the team

Coutinho got lot´s of chances from two different coaches during his first season even though he was younger (18) and he came to a better team than this one. He was a favorite of mine from the first moment he came to Inter. Selling him was a huge mistake like the one with Pirlo.
Look, Gabi might become a world beater. It is just my own feeling he won´t become one. He has nice pace and good finishing. I just don´t see him being good enough for a top ten team in Europe or whatever Suning wants Inter to be. I see him as overhyped kid, but that doesn´t mean he can´t become a big hit. But I admit saying he sucks is an overstatement and seems a bit like trolling which wasn´t my purpose.
But saying Pioli doesn´t play him because Gabi is so great that he might put Pioli to shame seems to me more like a conspiracy theory. And Let´s say he would start all the last games. I definitely agree with you, there’s no other reason why a coach with all the pressure he’s having from press, media, agent, player and club, there’s no reason of not playing him unless he’s really bad somewhere. It’s not only Pioli, it was FDB before him as well (the guy who’s specialty is to give chances to the young and help them grow)
