According to Tuttosport the idea is to copy the model from the NFL (American football). This means that Spalletti would like to divide the work into defence and offense, giving the responsability to two coaches. “For this reason his group will consist of assistant coach Domenichini, technical assistant coaches Baldini and Pane plus athletic coach Iaia and goalkeeper coach. Bonaiuti”. Former coach di Empoli, Giovanni Martusciello will be in charge of the defensive phase”. Martusciello already has said goodbye to Empoli although officially his work with Inter starts July 1st. “This means that Inter will have a coach only dedicated to the defence”.

American football:
– different players for offense and defense
– play stops completely, with time to strategize and reset, between offensive and defensive phases
How the hell is this relevant to soccer? I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad idea to have an offensive and defensive coach but you can’t think about one in isolation from the other as play is continuous and interrelated.
In conclusion:
offensive and defensive coach = fine
tuttosport analysis = senseless pile of steaming turd
how about walter samuel?? is he still with inter?
bravo, samuel_ “THE WALL” is my favorite player,… but I don’t know if he is into coaching? if not inter should offer him such a solution, I guess.
sign Hiruma Yoichi !!!!
Who?
Seems like a good idea. Good luck!
