Before receiving the ‘Nicola Ceravolo‘ award, Luciano Spalletti spoke with Sky Sports about the Inter transfer market:
“Our preseason camp starts on July 6th, we’re taking it calmly. However we want to do something important. We have strong players in our team, we will take the players we have at our disposal and which I want into consideration. Then looking at the Financial Fair Play rules we will improve the team but first focusing on selling players.”
Borja Valero? “I know that he will change clubs this summer, but for the moment we are sorted in that area. He is certainly a player you can rely on. Borja is a player we had already followed at Roma and who Inter were observing before my arrival.”
On Rudiger: “He’s great! Defensively he’ll certainly do something, but it is premature and incorrect to start talking about him.”

He seems really like rudiger.
Selling 29 y-o Banega for 9m and buying 33 y-o Borja for 10m rendered me speechless.
We get Banega for a free transfer and will sell him for around 12-15mil. And with that money we will acquire Borja with only 5-6mil. We are the one who will get the most benefit here. The reason the club do this because the FFP rules where we must balance another 30 mil unless we will get sanction. I don’t mind this move because Borja is an experienced and skilled player as well as Banega (even he’s quite inconsistent last season) also I believe Borja could help the development of Joao Mario, Gagliardini or Kondogbia (if he’s still in Inter this summer). Borja can still give quality for 1-2 years of his career so we can get short term benefit from that before we can finally gain the full potential of Mario and Gagliardini.
Sevilla haven’t got 12-15m. If they did, theyd have signed Jovetic. 9m it is. While Borja’s signing isn’t bad in itself, but taking Banega into consideration, it’s silly to even think of Borja at all. Banega is someone we’ve been linked forever before finally signing for us. His first season with us was good, considering how toxic the whole situation behind closed doors is. No matter how you look at it, it’s a downgrade. Perisic should’ve been sold alr, it’s the most logical solution. 50m is a lot for Perisic. Only then we can start rebuilding. With younger quality players that comes at lower price than perisic.
I am agree with your opinion of Banega’s potential and Perisic too. Then about Inter that trying to seal another wonderkid, yeah, as long as Inter can give the time they need to grow then its good. We Inter lack of patience because us fans already want to win something so yeah hope everything running according to plan.
Sevilla is only playing with us bro. They have the money now but too clever not want to follow Inter’s demand. Remember that they are two times (or 3 times) Europa Leauge Champion and always can manage to reach Europe qualification. And Sevilla always can find and sell their talents with high price that’s why their ex director Monchi are acknowledged and now works as Roma’s Sporting Director.
Sevilla is about to sell a strong midfielder to Juve (N’Zonzi) for 30 mil and that’ll free up money for Sevilla to spend on Jojo and Banega…
Borja Ida quality player who has been a star player in Serie A for years, Banega is a quality player who has showed he only is a star player when Grevinge the time and space on the ball like he gets in Spain and for Argentin, but which he doesn’t get in Serie A.
Not true. Actually in Italy he gets more space on the ball. Many teams like to play with deep backline. It’s a league that values tactical discipline over attack-attack-attack or just pumping the ball forward. The reason he has been struggling is that defensive lines here are so deep and compact he couldn’t play the ball behind the defence as often as he’d like. Still I believe we should rather keep Banega than signing Borja. Unless Borja’s Brozo’s replacement, then I’m all for it.
So at end of the day,you agree; he doesn’t fit into the way of playing and can’t adjust to Italian football at all!
Because it’s our tradition to pile up deadwoods each year. We’re not inter we don’t buy 2-3 deadwoods
selling miangue is even worse !!
there is an interesting person, romeo jozak, recently free, pronounced expert in youth training, a player development guru afirmed in uefa, PhD of football. he reformed dinamo school of football with many good players such as kovacic, modrić, lovren, ćorluka, manđukić, badelj, kramarić, etc. came from his incubator and methods of training… inter really need such an expert for young players. he is strikt and stubborn, pushes until it is done the right way. a few years ago, wenger wanted to bring him in arsenal to apply his methods, but mamić made/payed him stay in dinamo. Education: Doctorate in Science (Ph.D.), thesis in soccer, Faculty of Kinesiology, Zagreb, Croatia, UEFA “PRO” License
———- if there is any wisdom in inter, now is a chance to get him to inter. he can only make youth sector better. to raise their own players should be the goal ————

Nice summary
inter always jumps into atmosphere of “transfer period craze” hoping to to mend acute problems and it goes that way for decades … without thinking on long term strategy. they chase their own tail… they should stop for a moment to think about going back to basics with their academy… of course, it takes time to give the first fruits.
And you say this because you are a croatian. Planty of people like him out there. If he is so good clubs should be lining up to get him
no, I’m not patriotic here. kovacic, modrić, lovren, ćorluka, manđukić, badelj, brozović, kramarić, etc (before they had boban, šuker) . are the product of that school. dinamo is a smal and irrelevant club, but still, it makes players and inter doesn’t do it. where do inter youth players play after ending their youth career ? are they playing in inter or in bayern, real, juve, fiorentina, and some other better clubs ? no, unfortunately their level is serie b. who was the last inter youth player who made national or international career ?
the result of work of youth acadeshould be FUNCTIONAL PLAYERS and not some meaningless youth trophies and diplomas hang on the wall. CREATING PLAYERS is not easy … and now, inter is about to sell miangue ?!?! O tempora o mores !!!
I forgot vrsaljko-atletico madrid, rog-napoli, jedvaj-bayer lerkusen, .. all from dinamo school + previously mentioned:
kovačić-real, modrić-real, lovren-liverpool, ćorluka- zenit, manđukić-juve, pjaca-juve, vida-dynamo/kijev, badelj-fiorentina, brozović-inter, kramarić-hoffenheim, šimunović-celtic.
Give the coach what they want…please don’t end up buying over price not needed players that eventually only get few minutes show off per season…
