Former Inter defender Riccardo Ferri spoke to PremiumSport about the possible purchase of Matias Vecino by the Nerazzurri.

Vecino isn’t a bad player at all and as a regista with Gagliardini next to him and Valero infront – could work!

Ayup. People seem to think D’Ambro has the starting spot locked down. And realistically, he probably does unless this team finally stops being cheap. We need 2 FB’s, but I expect only 1.

He already plays in Serie A, and therefor won’t take up a non EU slot for us.
Improved the midfield? That remains to be seen.But a minor improvement to a crap midfield, still means its crap.
Its possible Vecino&grandpa will be a slight improvement, but definitely not 30m+ of an improvement.
Regardless of that all of Rube, Roma, Napoli and Milan have a FAR superior CM pair compared to Vecino and Fagliardini, its not even close.
Obviously Dybala, Nainggolan and Hamsik are 3439 times better than Valero/Mario as well (we willl see who milan gets, likely also a better player).
Inters midfield is so bad, its not even funny. Mediocre players all over.
In my opinion, Joao Mario is better than Vecino. First, why don’t we focus to close Dalbert saga, faster. And then focus to sign RB (Cancelo or Darmian or Zappacosta or Henrichs). We need more CB (Manolas and De Vrij). Last, a winger (Berardi and Brandt) would be great.
Mario and vecino have different role and ability. They can’t be compared directly
Kessie was hailed for his game against Dortmund. If he becomes a dominating midfielder and you add Biglia to that equation we have to pray Roma implodes somehow so that we have a chance for 4th spot. But why would they when still after all the sales they have most of their squad intact? EDF can’t be bad enough to throw all that away.
