Interviewed in China by INTER Channel, Luciano Spalletti expressed his impressions on Suning’s headquarters:
“It’s impressive just how majestic and how huge it is, with its 25,000 offices. It gives you an idea of what Suning want to achieve in football and we have to make sure we’re up to the task.”
Spalletti then spoke about the Asian tour and the second stage of pre-season:
“This is the start of the second part of pre-season. We need to get to know the lads better and make sure we’re ready for these games we have to play so that we can make a strong start when the league campaign kicks off.”
He also commented on the incredible reception Inter were given at Nanjing airport as well as what awaits his team over the coming weeks:
“The number of fans waiting to greet us at the airport just shows you how little borders mean nowadays. A great country like China is interested in Italian football and we mustn’t disappoint them. Inter are famous all over the world.”
