Veneto Messenger reports that Inter are keeping track of two Udinese players, Samir and Jakub Jankto. These two will be the alternative targets if Dalbert doesn’t end up going to Inter.

I may be slightly OT but ..21 yrs.old Barreca for LB and we are all set for the next 12 years.
And with an Italian, for whomever care about that factor too.
I like him a lot ,he is a complete natural in that role.
I might be wrong but in my eyes soon Barreca will naturally become Italy’s starting left back ,and for quite a while.
Him on the left and Aurier on the right. Ansaldi and D’Ambrosio as backups.
To me Samir could be something if we are going 3 defense.
The centre-left guy of the trio.
Actually I feel that in that role he could even do really ,really well .
As a left full back. instead …God is he null offensively.
Not even a decent cross would be coming from there all season.
Agreed. He is really strong defensively and think would be a two-in solution for our LB and CB…we still need Dalbert for starting LB but in case he is injured/banned Samir would be a great back up alongside Ansaldi and can similarly slot in for CB as well in case we move to three at back or have injuires/bans to contend with…
We don’t want to waste one of our non -EU spot to a “great back-up”.. And also we have already: Yogatomo, Ansaldi, D’Ambrosio, Santon. And it looks like we aren’t getting rid of any of them. Santon is injured and failes every medical. Yoga just won’t leave and neither will Ansaldi. So if we buy Dalbert + waste our another spot on Samir we will have way too many fullbacks in our team for two competitions.
Non – EU spot doesn’t count when buying players from serie A
Thanks mate, didn’t remember that. But I still think he is mediocre at best. 🙂
You are welcome
Not a fan of him
Santon is on the way out and hopefully this is the year we finally make a clean break with Nagatomo. Similarly with Andreolli gone and Ranocchia also expected to leave we need cover in the CB spot.
Samir is actually a very solid defensive option that has Serie A experience, does not take an non-EU spot and may not come at an inflated price in an already crazy market.
Solves two problems in one go (LB and CB) has a strong physical presence and can improve significantly under Spalletti who is known to get the best out of his defenders.
I would obviously prefer some of the other young stars being linked with us like Davidson Sanchez, Diop, Kimpembe, etc., but these all come with a huge price tag and will need time to settle into a new league.
We need to trust Sabitini and Spalletti. Valero and Skriniar are both already looking like smart buys (albeit from short friendly cameos) and I trust if they decide to go for Samir it will only because they see him becoming an ideal fit for the team.
What club will take Santon? He is currently sidelined with injury and failes every medical he takes.. :/ We are stuck with him. The same way we are stuck with Nagatomo, who somehow manages to make every coach believe in his abilites and adore him. + no one wants to match their salaries. And I just hope that Ranocchia is on his way out…
I would be fine to star the season with Murillo, Miranda and Skriniar as CBs and D’Ambrosio as a backup, if 2 of them suffer injuries. I mean we don’t have that much games ahead and we need to reinforce the fullback department badly. And in case of bad injuries we do have some promising CBs coming through the Primavera like Vanheusden, even he could be a solution at Serie A next to an experienced player like Miranda. He sure has the potential.
We are stuck with Santon but i feel we will find Naga a place to go this time.
I am optimistical.
I do hope so! 🙂
Maybe Spal is looking at the 3D.
In that case Samir makes sense.
Yes I do tend to trust the saba-spal duo.
Fine.
But I do believe that in the end we will find some place to go for one or two of our backup full backs.
Or I hope so.
From the bottom of my heart I wish that you are right brother!!
Jankto would be some help for the wing
i don’t mind to have samir on the left since he’s a good defender, and we will have perisic/keita to focus more on attack.. with nagatomo, perisic have to do double job.. of course dalbert should be the priority.
Yes, as long as it is understood that Samir is a one phase only type of player;
Samir is very strong and fast defensively, but close to a complete zero as far as offensive quality.
Zero.
Therefore to me Samir could only work if we have an offensively strong RB.
So..of course Dalbert should still be the priority
In my eyes Samir is just another mediocre fullback to add our team and give way too high salary so he would never leave..
he’s better at defending than naga though.. he could be a good temporary solution..
WE DON’T NEED ANY TEMPORARY SOLUTIONS!!! sorry for the capslock, but if we want temporary and someone who makes mistakes, why don’t we just use a primavera player as a LB? That way the mistakes can be used as a part of growing as a player. Miangue would have been much better compared to Lord Naga.. Samir screams mediocre to me and I don’t want to see him at Inter.
samir is a good defender.. we need plan b in every situation.. and samir actually a good one..
Jankto is a midfielder /winger.
Samir is a leftback who can play in central defence.
Dalbert is a leftback who can play as a winger.
Jankto is a winger, and samir is a central defender while dalbert is a right wing back.
dalbert is left wing back and samir can play on left back and center back.
our mercato looks grim, and now the update articles here stated to look grim as well
