Luciano Spalletti speaking with INTER Channel claimed that his side’s performance against Bayern showed a glimpse of his team’s potential. However, he warns they still have a lot of growing to do before they can compete regularly at this level.
“We played well today. We kept our shape and closed down our opponents well. If we want to be picky, perhaps we weren’t quite so sharp in possession in the second half. Inter must show the desire to go toe to toe with teams of this level. We’ve beaten Bayern today but we still have to improve a lot. You need lots of quality to produce top performances. When you come up against sides like Bayern you have to be at the top of your game or it’s very hard indeed to come away with a result.”
He continued on to say: “It’s always good to win matches as it brings a feel-good factor – and that helps in football. When you believe in what you’re doing, it helps you to do better next time. The players know I don’t tell them lies. I’ve got a good bunch of lads here and I believe they have huge margin for growth.”
Questioned about similarities between Joao Mario and Radja Nainggolan, the coach answered: “No two players are the same but top players are always capable of winning games for you. Radja is more likely to burst forward while Joao is better on the ball and in tight spaces.”
Spalletti then restated his opinion on Ivan Perisic, who set up Eder’s second today:
“I know what Perisic can do and so does everyone else. Nothing’s changed in my view. He’s a great player, he’s an Inter player and I’d like to keep him here. Then of course you have to consider the club’s view and the player’s view as well.”

Same news as yesterday, but different translator btw.
Lol
I would be so damn glad if Perisic stays and we buy one of Keita/Berardi. Keep the old wingers (Candy also) and add one that can rack up good numbers of goals and assists. That’s enough for our attacking department.
what about barbosa doe
He has to be loaned
A loan to some club where he plays as a starter? He’ll be behind Candreva in pecking order next year anyways, at least that’s my prediction.
I agree only if Perisic can set his mind on staying. But if he dreams of Utd and UCL matches already this season and is not going to play with his heart we should sell him.. Keita would be ideal as a replacement for the left flank, because he is a young & proven Serie A player with a lot of potential. And I think he could work very well at Spallettis plans.
Somehow I think that the rest of our mercato is bound to sales, so hopefully we can still sell: Ranocchia, Santon, Naga, Biabiany and Jovetic or atleast few of them. That would open up our transfers. Even now we really have too big of a squad just for two competitions.
It really seems they want to sell before buying. But selling is once again taking forever. Our boys are so picky with the clubs like Medel only wanting Boca who prolly want him for free or something. Frustrating stuff as always.
Yeah. Hopefully when we manage to sell some players all of our targets haven’t joined other teams.. And still have enough time to get used to Spalletti’s playstyle before the season starts, because we really need to start strong!
I think we need a change in the LW, at least Candreva is showing his same game play but he seems to be proud of playing our team, Perisic only wants to be in the PL, i really like to see him leaving-
