The incredibly slow negotiations that could lead to Inter defender Jeison Murillo moving to Valencia continues, but the feeling is that the two clubs finally will reach an agreement, this according to Tuttosport. When the final goodbye is said, Inter has to find a replacement, at the moment everything points to that being Danish player Andreas Christensen (owned by Chelsea, but the last two years on a loan deal with Borussia Mönchengladbach).

according to di marzio, Everything is done for Dalbert’s move to Inter. Nice have given their go-ahead to the player who will be this Monday in Milan, where he’ll have his medicals next Tuesday. Few minutes ago the last confirmation mail has arrived with the signed documents from the French clubs. The cost of this deal has been confirmed: €20m + bonuses. The player’s wages have been raised since the initial agreement as he’ll earn 1.1m free of charges per year, + bonuses.

After watching Chelsea today I don’t think Conte would be willing to let any other players leave. He already has no depth in the team, and has been arguing with the board due to lack of activity. With them playing CL they are going to need depth. Also the player will probably not want to move just to sit on the bench for a season when he can do that already at Chelsea, with the hope of playing cup or CL group stage games.
One position they don’t lack cover is the CB position. I mean Christiansen is 6th choice defender after the main back 3, Rüdiger and Zouma. I do agree they are thin on the midfield and wing back areas however

Miranga is aging and his days are numbered, Murillo has suffered from the change of the coaches last year but he’s a beast. His only weakness is that sometimes gets too impulsive but other than that he can read the plays very well, he can mark almost anyone, he’s fast and strong, he has good passing skills as well.
But yeah let’s sell him and keep Ranochia who has been inconsistent his whole life since he came at Inter altho I feel bad for the guy because he had potential but it is what is. Or let’s play the fucking Dumbo a.k.a not Maicon at center defense.
Even if Miranda wasn’t aging it is just stupid to let the third best defender or second best defender go. With a bit of help from Spalleti Murillo could get back at his best and be one of the scariest beasts in Serie A and why not world wide.

That’s why contract management is crucial – don’t give away 4-5 year contracts, because chances are high you’ll regret later.
Well we can tolerate having one Winston Bogarde but having 4-5 Winston Bogardes is just too much.
And well we didn’t give any of this deadwood 6-7 years contracts of course, but we gave them extensions, so why the f*ck would you give Nagashit and Brozoshit, Ranochia and friends an extension, if that’s the case, just cut them off wtf.
But like I said, we don’t have the will to make them leave and we’re too dumb. We’re doing wrong choices year after year.
Getting rid of contracts by mutual consent is very rare. Even players like Nagatomo played full-time today, which means Inter have the incentive to keep him around rather than buying out the remainder of his contract and ship him elsewhere.
Why give extensions then to them. Like I said this is all management’s fault. How stupid do you have to be to not see that Nagatomo, Brozovic, generally their type of players won’t get you anywhere unless you are aiming for mid table though.
It’s always to cut the losses as soon as you can then continue expecting smth from these kind of players.
But if you are aiming to be in the top 10 clubs in the world then you can’t have Nagatomo even as the water boy let alone as a player !
Well, this club is a softie, we all know that. I wish we simply follow what Arsenal does – only 1 year contract extension for players over 30. We should generally keep the contracts to 3 years, and be very careful with 4- or 5-year contracts.
Miranda gonna turn 33 in this September, you have to be thinking for a decent replacement for him and who better than Murillo.
And yeah we got Skiriniar but we yet have to see him play real games, I’m liking him so far but we’ve had plenty of players that started good and ended up mediocre.
While we saw quite a few things from Murillo, the problem has always been the coach except some good ones we had that came in the wrong time and weren’t supported properly from the club.
Now we have a really good coach and we just gotta get rid of the deadwood like Ranochia, Nagatomo, Dumbo which idk why we offered an extension to him.
We’re always replacing 5-6 players each summer, you can’t rebuild the team every fucking year man. It has to go gradual, 2-3 main players at the time.

Murillo himself rejected the new contract renewal and asked to be sold to Valencia. That’s a very bold statement for sure. While for Frog, I’m pretty sure he will be forced to move in the last week of mercato. We’re still in the market for another potential CB.
