Obviously his salary will be upgraded, especially since he has been on the highest level tha past seasons and the fact that he has started this season the way he has with four goals in two games. In addition to giving Mauro Icardi some love money wise the buy-out clause will of course be raised. Because of the numbers circulating at the moment, the current buy-out clause on 110 millions of euro is not enough. It is better to be careful and not take any risks.
Icardi’s current contract is, since his last renewal, valid until 2021 and is on 4.5 million of euros net + bonuses.

Wise decision, always reward players.who do very well the season prior. It creates ambition to do better, and competition to become better.
with the numbers teams pay today..if we do not wont to sell him we just need a contract without a buy-out clause and say he is not for sale.. or maybe 300M clause because no one will pay this sum.
I understand he has been good performer but for the love of God inter just gave him a new contract last year. I truly hope this does not become a new habit of the management to over spoil players like that.
We need to do negotiate with him because of his buy-out clause which is too litle (should imo be removed). Otherwise we could have waited a year or even two.
It’s not about giving him a salary bump it’s about the buy-out clause.. Lukaku and Morata have already been bought and will not be sold again anytime soon. The next yr or so when some club wants to splash big money on a great No.9, Icardi is practically the only one left/next in line.
