During this summer’s mercato, Ivan Perisic was not the only Inter player wanted by Premier League teams. During the famous meeting at the end of June between Fali Ramadani and Piero Ausilio the two also talked about Samir Handanovic and the interest from Liverpool and Tottenham. Inter resisted all efforts from Jürgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino and considered Handanovic unsellable. This because Handanovic, Icardi and Perisic all were central pieces in Luciano Spalletti’s new Inter.
According to fcinternews.it, Inter wants a contract extension. Handanovic’s contract expires 2019 and Sunig wants an extension to at least 2020, talks with his agent should start during the fall/winter this season so a contract renewal can be presented at the transfer window in January.
That is the 13th Inter player linked with Spurs in the summer transfer window now
Title says Handanovic turned them down, article say Inter rejected? which was it? Would be surprised but happy if it was Handanovic
why spuds wanted him? i can understand looserpool thought however
