Nicolò Barella is a player who has begun to attract the interest of many, including scouts from in Italy and abroad.

The 20-year-old midfielder is contract to Cagliari by a contract expiring in June 2021, and after playing for the youth team and spending time on loan at Como, he is established under coach Massimo Rastelli.

He has made 45 total appearances for Cagliari, scoring one goal and amassing two assists, which arguably places Barella at the top of a hypothetical, but possible, ranking of the best young players in a top league.

In the latest mercato, however, his name was often circulated, and he was linked with big names in Serie A such as Juventus, Roma and Milan.

But, according to FcInterNews.it, Inter are also following the youngster and scouted him last season. The Nerazzurri hierarchy rate the player highly, and relations with Cagliari President Tommaso Giulini are excellent, due to some transactions between the two clubs during the latest market sessions (Senna Miangue, for example).

According to the report, however, it will not be easy to sign the player from his current club, both for the important project that the Sardinian club are building, plus a price tag that is growing by the week.

The Nerazzurri, however, is vigilant on the player and will continue to monitor his performance.
